Re: Eastern Hemisphere [Beta]
Letting Australia and New Zealand fall under English rule again might help, opening up more bombardment routes. This would seem excessive though, and make it very hard to control those bonuses. Still, only the Netherlands, France and England have any reason to be there due to the bonuses, perhaps ...

Re: Chess (3/1/09: Draft 10 Page 10) [D]
I went crazy and started counting more unusual attack routes, inspired by the 3 hop comment.
I put a * for each opposing force piece that can attack the square.
White
3 hop W Queen to H7*, H8*, G8 B King
3 hop W Queen to G6**, G7 B Pawn, G8 B King
3 hop W Bishop to F7 B Pawn, F8**, G8 B King
5 hop ...

In the poll I'd say Sun Tzu 'cos he wrote the book
If I could pick anyone though, I'd say 2nd Technician Arnold Rimmer BSc SSc of course.

Re: OCEANIA MAP (gameplay under discussion) [D]
I really like this map, you've done fantastically well with the look and it looks like it will be fun to play. It works nicely with the Asia map starting where that one stops. I did notice a couple grey dots near the top right though, look like leftover uncoloured bits of island or something ...

Re: Community Opinion: Are "Intensity Cubes" random enough?
Having rolled thousands upon thousands of RL Intensity Cubes playing tabletop wargames, I'd say yes, they can be just as frustrating and sweet as real dice.

Re: Congratulations, 100%ers!
I just looked up a 1v1 opponent, leen_1980, and he's got 1405 games under his belt with a 100% record.
I was so impressed I made this post. For me, it is impossible, I often spend a day or two far from any phoneline, let alone internet connection. I've got to organise babysitters I guess.

Re: Dartboard
Fair enough, it was a strange suggestion, and yes I did mean just 20 max not 60 I just thought it went quite nicely with the theme. The current idea of stronger neutrals on the doubles/triples/outer bull/inner bull is perfectly fine, and my idea does have unneccesary complications. Still, we could ...

Obviously Nazel fragmentation.
You are the first person in fifteen years to correctly guess the origin of my pseudonym. Congratulations of some sort are in order, so here we go: Congratulations!

Re: Dartboard
Why not give them neutrals equal to their score? This would mean the higher numbers needed to win are blocked until later in the game, and will provide an artificial continenting system where players grow first around the smaller numbers before moving to the winning numbers.

Re: Am i really a c*nt?
that's a pretty convoluted way to misinterpret a 'nym, I doubt too many people would take it that way (though the 'white' plus '88' really doesn't help). Trust me, I'm an expert on being mistaken for a white supremacist.
