Diplomacy online.

http://www.playdiplomacy.com/index.php

I am not affiliated with the site at all, other than recently joining. I think it would be great if more people joined so that it could become as great as Conquer Club in terms of interface and such.

Check it out and if you would like to ...

Bomb the Middle East...with color

Can somebody remake the Middle East map with more exciting colors. I have not yet played it because I do not feel the map is appealing with such boring colors. Not a real big deal but I feel like it would be an easy thing to change.

i wasnt thinking that you would just start on the outside, i think that would be very boring, but rather the game starts with every territory owned

Bracket Map

What about a bracket as a map? I wont make a rough draft right now cause you should all know what a bracket looks like.

One game would be two territories, one for each team. You wouldnt be able to attack a different round unless you owned the whole game.

A round for one division (St Louis ...

Deadbeating Teammates

This has probably already been suggested but:

Deadbeating teammates should not be rewarded points if their team wins.

They had no influence on the game unless they specifically deadbeat so that there teammate could take all their countries, but thats a pussy strategy.

It would be different ...

The computer plays, no one actually plays for the robber.

The other way it could work is that one person each round gets to control it. I like the computer playing it better though

I believe it is possible for the site to allow us to set our clocks so that if it is 3 here then we can make the site clock say 3 for us and so everything is relative to your timezone.

Personally I like my idea better (biased perchance?) but if it is not possible I am all for yours.

the one problem is the 5 card limit rule. you could have 5 "additional" cards and no normal ones. What would you do?

Also if you had 1 country but had 4 cards you would want to attack one country so you could get a card and a set. this would mean that you couldnt turn in your next turn which you ...

Okay, but how would the Robber move around? Presumably he would appear on a random territory, but every territory already has a player sitting on it. Even if you just set aside the "real" owner of that territory for the duration of the Robber's stay, there is still the question of when the Robber ...

If the settlement/city bonuses dont work then I am all for the resources.

About the desert I am cool with either having a -1 army or just having it be a border block and no one can attack it.

About the robber, I dont know if its possible, but what if it was a computer generated army that ...

The games wouldnt last any longer than they do now, not with my suggestion. My suggestion means the round ends in 24 hours still, it just means anyone can play after 12.

In Forza AZ (not saying anything against your idea, just clearing up whose idea is whose) I believe the games could last 48 ...

I dont like it because I feel like the non-image forum would not be as often viewed. As of right now people may go to the Foundry to look at a map they may have put up or just to see what is going up in the somewhat near future and make it the best they can. While they are in the Foundry they may ...

I think nationality is pointless but there could be an edtition to what you can search. From the posts on this thread I think the main reasons people would want to search the nationality would be 1) language and 2) time zone.

If you search the American nationality, because it is such a melting ...

i like the idea of the neutral guys. I was actually thinking of having them empty but could not figure how that would work.

The only reason I chose classic or 2.0 is because they have the most water with out just being water

Classic With a Lemon Twist

After playing a game of Diplomacy I was thinking that there should be a new map where water is a territory. This would be specifically best for a full world map such as classic or world 2.0 because water is 70% of the globe.

This would make continents a lot harder to keep because you can be ...
