Re: Has 'bad luck' ever changed your approach to CC games?
I have had a bad luck streak, and though it may be over now, I still play defensively. Mostly I try to secure an area of the map, stack up on the borders, and only take 1 or 2 territorie per turn.
In all of your 0 games you've had a bad luck streak?
EDIT you've literally taken 5 turns. lol

Re: The Improbable Always Wins....WTF?
The dice aren't messed up, it's just that anything can happen (though some are rare). That's why they call taking a risk "Rolling the dice."
oh, come on. do not vindicate this with "it is just dice"... 11:4 and resutl 3:4... is here any chance that you guys (advocates of current dice) will admit ...

Re: The Improbable Always Wins....WTF?
i think the problem is not that highly-unlikey dice-outcomes sometimes occur, but rather that these highly-unlikely outcomes happen more than they "should".
But there is no amount of times something "should" happen. It's all random. People who play Risk in real life know that those types of ...

Re: Democracy
Fascism, Communism, even Anarchy, would all be great forms of government if human nature couldn't get in the way. but a government has to account for human nature, which is why democracy is currently the best form of government we have (In my opinion).

Re: The Improbable Always Wins....WTF?
for some reason I been struggling against single armies of late as well.
the other day I won 118 vs 135 and was pretty happy with 4 leftover.
in another game I lost 11 vs 1, losing 8 in a row and had to stop.
11 vs 1 is bad... but not completely ridiculous

(Not who you were talking to, but I want to interject.)
The U.S. officials said they could have won the war by going after mainland Japan, but it would cost (as an estimation by the U.S. commanders) 1 million more U.S. lives. The bombing of Japan was in order to quickly end the war without the ...

Re: Would you flip the switch?
Actually, US was wrong here. Japan was ready to surrender, but on certain terms. The US said "screw that" and demanded unconditional surrender. Japan said no. the US could only either bomb Japan or invade the mainland, as I stated earlier. The US generals wanted to end it their (as you showed), but ...

Yes, I play online chess too, against all different skill levels. This thread is for slow moving chess, which iss good for those who don't have time to actually sit and play a whole game in one session, or if you're to lazy to play in one session.
