Comments:
I really don't understand this one. This newbie gave me single stars for every category, and also called me a 'deadbeat'. Fact of the matter is I didn't miss a single turn, but he missed one turn and then ran out of time on another. Then he went on to swear at me and abuse me in his one single comment in the game chat. Perhaps this is just his way of retaliating after I eliminated him, or after I gave him a poor rating (which in my case was at least accurate).

Normally this wouldn't worry me too much, but it's just so blatantly untrue and deceptive, and would give people a very wrong impression of me.

If this is wasting your time, please accept my apologies.

Sorry ... just further on this one ...

I just looked at the feedback this guy (anthony1954) gave to the third player in the game (miwlo), who eventually went on to win. He called him 'uncooperative'. Which can hardly be accurate either, as he didn't ask him to do anything. As I mentioned, he used his one and only post in the game chat to abuse me. So poor miwlo is told off for not doing something he wasn't asked to do ... !!

Filled with working links

It appears he got confrontational about calling him a deadbeat in chat, and retaliated with giving you a poor rating. While this rating system can/does get abused like this, it wont change your rating. Unless there is extreme circumstances where a user is only rating players poorly cause of his own bad sportsmanship, and even then I think that user just gets a WARNING.

Best bet would be to explain the tags on your rating in the respond tag and FOE him/her as you see fit

Good Luck

Yes, that was pretty much my assessment too, and I've done both the things you suggested. It'd just be cool if such blatantly incorrect ratings could be removed somehow. One of the weaknesses of any user-generated rating system I guess.

Thanks for your suggestion.

You were quick to point him out as a newbie deadbeat. Anyway, anthony1954 has been informed on how to use the ratings sytem more properly. For now, this is noted. If we get more reports like this, we will look into this further.
