Proposal for teacher availability listing

Postby AAFitz on Fri Apr 09, 2010 6:41 am

I wonder if there could be a sticky of teachers names, with a list of favorite maps and settings, that they are available to teach for.

A student could then go to that list, pick the teacher that seemed appropriate, and pm them and ask them for help with a game.

I myself can certainly play any map or setting, but really would only want to teach on World and maybe das shloss at the moment.

A list would keep this info always available, and I would think it would be easier than individual posts for games and help and availability. some would be needed, but I would think many would not be

Just a thought...if there is such a list in one of those stickies...than sorry, but perhaps even that can be labeled individually, so all a player has to do is see the list, see the map they want to play, and pm the teacher?

I suggest you set that up inside the team games classroom, as that is the only place where we teach more than one map. In all other classroom, we teach only terminator, classic, escalating, unlimited, and sunny.

We are working on additional maps, but haven't gotten to the point we can standardize teaching for any others.

No, it is a good idea, and one that will work real good right now in team classroom. I didn't mean to put the idea down.

I thought this was done in a mentoring thread already. We here specialize in Classic term although we also have a team game classroom. Most graduates use what they learn here and take it to other maps.

The reasoning is to get people to get use to online gaming before they are eaten up by the "NOOB MINERS"

and maybe eat a little in return.
