				Hi guys,
Great news that you are working on the map. Either sea looks cool to me.
There are a few geographical/typing errors. Do you want stuff like this just now or is that for later? e.g. You spelled "Dumfries" wrong on the key at the top. Also you have Bute marked on what is actually Arran! Bute is the smaller unmarked island directly west of where you've marked Renfrew.
Anyway good start - keep it going!

I agree, 8 bonus regions for 34 territories is way too many.
Visually, I can't even read the territory names in the blue and purple regions, and I can barely read any of the others. The bonus box needs to be reworked to be more readable and indicate what regions they're for. I honestly couldn't tell you what half of the regions were.

Also you have Shetland mixed up with orkney. Would be nice to have both on it. Check out below for what I mean:

Berwick is also spelled wrong on the map. Along with E & W Lothian.
I would also consider using names such as Ayrshire, Lanarkshire, Perthshire, Refrewshire etc. rather than Ayr, Lanark, Perth, Renfrew. The former are the more geographically correct regions whilst the latter are names of relatively small towns within them.
It's a shame Glasgow and Edinburgh aren't on the map. And Dundee.
Would be cool to have a bridge from Midlothian over to Fife where you could attack (i.e. Forth road/rail bridge!). I guess you could do the same from Fife to Angus (Tay road/rail bridge!).

All very useful, i knew about the Orkney/Shetland mix up but I’m afraid spelling isn't my strong point. I also used shortened names because of space issues and it is hard to read because difficulties translating from photo-plus meant I had to scale down and reduce image quality,
The bonuses were also only temporary-I will change them.
The bridges sound like a good idea
Map 2 seems to be most popular so we will carry on with that for now.
Next map should be produced soon

The bridge thing isn't essential but might be fun if there's room. Below is a pic showing their locations.
There's also technically a (small) bridge from the mainland to Skye.
Keep up the good work - really excited about this one!

i'll help with the better version, seeing as idea number two was my idea and design one was Bal's design. i need ideas for the land graphic effects as well. i'll post some ideas a bit later. the only other thing to say is welcome back (our rough version is in a topic called 'Rough scotland map' so it is welcome back!)!

Berwick is a weird one that probably should be changed. The region there is know as borders. There are no big towns aroudn there.
North Berwick is a small town in East Lothian.
Berwick-on-tweed is in England!
Problem is I'm not quite sure what to call it as the others in that "country" are also part of Borders.

The above map shows all the current authority names in Scotland (equivalent of counties in England). Might be of help?

Thanks it was a map simular to that i was working off but i have no idea how it was made as it seems to have an infinate amount of mistakes (including the Bute/Arran mix up which is near whare my family come from so i would never usally make that mistake) , The berwick problem is interesting, i will look through a few maps to see if that reagon has any names (if not i'll just call it borders)
