But it's not quite effective.

Sure, it stops whoever was foe'd to enter your games BUT what prevents me to join games with people I've foed?
Nothing.

I cant remember who I foe'd months or years ago... SO, quite often, I end up joining games with people I foe'd.
Not only that I do not want to play with them as they were foed for a reason, but it causes issues at times where I'm talking to them and I do not see their replies because they are foe'd and may think they ignore me.
Same goes the other way around: theuy try to tell me something but they dont know they've been foe'd and may think i'm ignoring them.

Anyways, I'd renewe for a third time if that option was implemented.
Why implement an option and cripple half of it's potential? Doesnt make sense to me.

I made the same suggestion too, after the same thing happened to me. Then the little dingus gave me a revenge rating to pay back the honest one I made about him. Not gonna mention his user name but it starts with Brann200.......

Yeah, yeah, a couple players may abuse their foelist, but for many, they've been advised by Mods to use foelist on certain players whether the player was warned for some sort of abuse or not.

Now they've inactivated foelists for tournament games, so if a play you foed joins the tourney after you, even if you know who is on your foelist, it won't prevent him from joining your tourney game after you did, so your forced into playing even if you would've not joined or left the tourney had you known you would be required to play x player.

They're weakening, rather than strengthening, foelists with this new change; in other words, seeming to do the opposite of what this thread is requesting.

Removing foe-lists for tournaments is the right call. :D Most support has been for this.

So how about the OP here, Andy? Any thoughts there?

Then I hope Mods will stop advising "use foe list" as an effective act against various abuses.

The thread I can see on it was a year old, and had varied responses including, "Don't do it unless people with a foelist get a warning and a chance to leave the game."

So I guess I'm missing the threads where more than a handful of players supported, and an almost equal handful didn't support.

you know what should be added....is a foe or friend flag next to games whenever you are searching for a game so you can see who the hell you're up against...what point of it to have a friend or foe button but have no purpose on the site for it....either use it or get rid of it....

I don't think foe's should be banned from playing a person, I want to play my foe's so i can beat their ass, but there should be some type of median set up....

Foe Alert

Postby THORNHEART on Fri Feb 12, 2010 9:19 pm

Just have a little pop up box come up when you choose to join a game that say player so and so is on your current foe list do you still wish to join "yes" "no"

Obviously it will just help game site and keep you out of games you really don't want to be in.

What, you want something that would make the site more user-friendly and useful? There'll be NONE OF THAT! Now go back to your nuclear spoils stupidity where you belong!

Joining foes games pop-up alert

Postby fumandomuerte on Fri Apr 09, 2010 9:02 pm

Concise description:
  • Show a mini alert when you are joining a game against a foed player.

Specifics:
  • A pop-up will show up with a simple warning message "Mr. Jones is in your foes list, do you still want to procede? Yes / No" when you're trying to join a game where one or more players are already foed by you but you don't remember.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • Nothing special, but sometimes one doesn't take the time to check the foes list. This will save you bad times and a couple of visits to others profiles

I suggested something similar before, but it never went anywhere. I hope this one goes further.
