in large team tourneys once in a while the games are created not at team games but standard games by mistake.

i did this at least once in my torney.. and i played at least 5-6 games like this in tourneys hosted by others.

im pretty sure right after this game is created 90% of the players would prefer to cancel this game.

any chance for some cancel option?

I don't think it would be horrible if there was a cancel button but the only way i think it would work is if all players in the game hit the cancel button to make a 100% agreement to cancel. I also think that when round 2 in that game hits then cancelling should no longer be an option. I'm not sure its possible to do all that though

You are able to drop the games before they begin, so assuming one of the players notices before they join, they can notify you.

if all players post in the game that they agree to drop it, King Achilles has dropped them for me in the past. Cancel game button's would be abused if they were there.

There is some potential for abuse, but it is greatly reduced if the cancel game button was only active before any player has made a move. If all players have to agree to the game cancellation and no one has yet actually played a turn, then it is hard to see the abuse potential. Of course, in an eight player game it is really unlikely that you'd logistically be able to get everyone to agree to the cancellation in the first 24 hours.
