Concise description:
  • When viewing the Start A Game page, users will be able to read a description about what each setting is, and what the options mean.

Specifics/Details:
There are more than one ways this can implemented
  • One idea is to have a description pop up when a user hovers over each option.
  • Another is to have all settings shown in a drop-down, and have the description of what is selected always shown next to the drop-down.
  • Any way better way?

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • This will be more informative for newer players on the site, and will increase likeliness that people who don't understand all settings will branch out in the types of games they play.

"Instructions" is linked to a page with all the info. Check the info above the settings options.

A clean, convenient and unobtrusive option would be to have some kind of small square question mark image to the right of each line. When the user hovers over the question mark a popup box could be displayed with an explanation of the setting.

I think most people would generally prefer to have information available on their current page, if possible, rather than navigating to a new page for more info.

Yes, but as Foxglove has said I think more people would get the info if it was on the same page as where they are selecting the settings options. Would definitely not have to replace the instructions page, but would be useful addition imo
