is there a benefit to a clan?

Well I hope I'm not boring everyone, but I;ve been told by a couple of very intelligent players that there are good reasons and benefits to joining clans.

My problem is that I have really had no experience with either clans or tournaments before, so I'm not really sure if I offer a good partnership or not? ( I believe I do as I seem to do ok on the ranking system, and can be dangerous in any game against the best of the best)

Soooooo, I guess if there is a clan who would have me and I might be able to help out (and learn from/help out), could you please send me a PM.

Being in a clan gives you a usergroup forum that means you can talk to your fellow clan mates more, and sometimes clans will engage in wars between each other to see who is best, set up private games or unofficial tournaments for clan members, etc.

I guess I may be extremely arrogant, but I was kind of hoping there might be a clan or two that would express interest in me joining hehe!!

Of course I am still trying to deal with the shock and disapointment that the world does not revolve around me (oh my!!), so who knows
