Looking for a consistent doubles partner [closed]

Postby sully800 on Sat Jan 03, 2009 1:27 pm

Hello all,

I have never been into team games, but I am interested in trying them, and going on a medal search. I don't want to partner up with some team game champion, rather I am looking for someone else who is rather new to them. Ideally we would learn how to play together, and after a few hundred games finish our medal quest. After that we add a third and a fourth player.

Please PM me if interested. I won't pick the first player who asks me, because I want to weigh the options and choose someone who I feel like I can trust and will be fun to have in this many games. Thank you.

would be a pleasure to show you the ropes if there are no palatable rookies forthcoming
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

I'm not new to team games at all, but as you can see by my rank there is still a lot of "learning how to play" for me. Since I play so many I'm not sure you'd want me, but if you share some basic strategy I could share some team strategy and it could all work out for the best? Up to you mate, good luck on your quest to find your partner! :)

haha! I get replies right away from 6 people I would love to partner with. I was expecting all players I have never heard of.

I will consider you all, but I think I am leaning away from people who already have team game golds.

You have to win to get the gold.... that is why you should have one of us that is good at team games. You will learn more about playing team games and have a better chance at winning. ;)

It looks like we could create a whole slew of consistent partnerships with this thread. :)

A rookie would be nice though because we would both be on the same page and help each other to learn more. Still accepting all resumes though! I'll probably make a decision tomorrow, so there's no rush.

I'd be interested, sully800. I've been trying to find a solid partner to get the doubles gold medal as well. I have enough team game experience to know how to communicate well, but haven't ever played them consistently.

How many are you thinking of playing at once? I've sort of lost my interest in the standard games, so I could play several team games at once. Perhaps I could even learn a few of the stranger maps around here.

Find the last person that's on the scoreboard and send them a PM? :P

Hi Sully,

just like you I'm also seeking a partner to team up with. I play only few doubles, so I also haven't team medals yet. If interested please PM me.

By the way our avatars look great together

Thanks again for the replies everyone. Once I have played some games, its nice to know there are a bunch of other people willing to partner with me.

I have chosen Avaris, one of the quietest posters to contact me, because we seem to share the same goals and he is the unknown but friendly kind of player I was looking for. If any of you would still like a partner, consider asking one of the other people who replied in this thread. Give us a couple of games and then we will take on all challengers 8-)
