Well I checked the memberlist but aside from GT it seems basically only christians.

Haggis_McMutton is a member of the clan. Are you calling him a Christian? Actually he's also a member of your clan, the Godless heathen  How about Smokingdude420? Nope, he's a pagan. How about Grimreaper? Or Nobunga, Wcaclimbing, Xerro, Optimus Prime, Protectedbygold, Blackelkspeaks, Iz man, Got tankaed, John9blue, Grooveman2007, TheLucas, LocutusofBorg01, Deronimo, or the Fuzzy Pengui? They're all members of the new clan. Are they Christians? If so, it's news to me.

Haggis can't have been a member for long, otherwise he would've told us so.

And all those others, with the exception of Smokingdude (no longer in our clan for some reason), are not exactly atheists. I mean, Grooveman is actually a Christian but whatever. Not to mention that TheLucas and John9blue probably are too, though they may not be members of the JF. (Shocking suprise, not every christian is a member!)

Regardless, there also seems to be a major focus on the more right-wing conservative angle. Except for GT, I haven't seen much of what I'd call balance there. (Excluding mods because mods are generally carefull with their posts, which is logical.)

And still, apart from Haggis (who's on sort of a holiday or something) none of your members are actually members of the GH.

Firstly, who did I attack?
Secondly, if I did, it was outside of the civil forum, and only a fight or flight response that someone else brought out of me. You can't hold us up to your rules if we aren't in your forum. Certainly the other coffeeshop mods agree?

i definitely don't think that you are rational enough to be involved in a serious forum. for starters, I wasn't talking to you. secondly, you are apt to get aggressive when people disagree with you. you generally get insulting and pushy and i found that irritating. Smokingdude never was a member of GH (as far as I know) because he's pagan. I don't know very much about most of the people in the new clan, but Got Tankaed says he's athiest.
Snorri1234 wrote:I mean, Grooveman is actually a Christian but whatever.

Hmm yeah, I just found that out. As I said, it's news to me!

Really? I never knew that...although I am still getting to know a lot of the people around here.

Obviously.

GH isn't a very big clan (25 members). JF is a massive clan (207 members). Logically there would be larger representation from the JF than from the GH, just as there would be in any other clan like the Freemium Forces or whatever.

Secondly, new members aren't being chosen according to their beliefs or whether they are liberal orconservative--they're chosen because they've been respectful to others, they aren't conspiracy nuts, and they don't break the forum rules. I don't think there's any other criteria. As one of the mods has already said, it's taking a while for all three of them to agree on who to let it; I'm sure there will be more GH allowed in who fit the three criteria above.

Thirdly, Juan Bottom, Neotony, Mpjh, HapSmo19, Skittles, and you (all of whom are GH members) started out in opposition to this clan and tried to shoot it down from the start. Now that it's up and running, a few of you want to join. Clearly the mods have good reason to be cautious about letting you in. Haggis has always been very positive about the clan, and guess what? He's in.

If you read my posts, yes I was against it because I thought it would fail, but I was still going to give it a chance. Possibly the only thing that's not allowing me in is BES, and maybe the other one {Not CA}. I've told CA that BES and I do not get along, and after I put in my application, I noticed BES was one of the three mods for the forum discussion group people, I then contacted CA that I wish to not be part of the group due to BES and I clashing, but CA still would like me to be so I can keep Luns in line. xD

If I don't get in, I know why. I still think that BES is a hypocrite, so by saying that and if I don't get in, some people need a serious check on their thinking.

How is that fair? The rules out here are differant than they are out here. I can't help but feel like you all are putting on an air of "I'm better than them."
I don't get why you don't give people a chance to fail by you're rules. You civility seems to be lacking.

Oh no my friend. But I'm not of the opinion that we are being denied because we are Athiests. CA is one of the mods and he's a good guy. I doubt that he would allow that kinda thing to bar our entry. I still hold hope that we will all be allowed in.

You're probably right. Though I must say that the vocal people in Chatter Box are far more evenly distributed.
Secondly, new members aren't being chosen according to their beliefs or whether they are liberal orconservative--they're chosen because they've been respectful to others, they aren't conspiracy nuts, and they don't break the forum rules. Whoa hey guys,

There's alot of conjecture going on here. We're discussing things and all have full time jobs to boot. Sorry if we're not getting back quickly, but don't immediately think that this guy or that is the reason you're not getting in. We each have a different idea about who to admit and when, and the idea of having three mods is specifically to hold down decisions based on personality conflicts and the like.

Right now I'm in favor of holding things down to a small number of people, just because it's easier to runs things with a small group while we are organizing. That doesn't mean that others will not eventually be invited in (it's certainly no fun arguing with people that agree with you all the time). Don't jump to conclusions; I've certainly said "Not yet" to more new members than BES. It isn't that we don't want you in; it's only that we're trying to make sure the environment is the best it can be when you arrive. Just be patient; this is new for us.
