- you can always re-state a note that you wanted everyone to see but that mistakenly was to "self," whereas once you mistakenly send out a note that gives away someone's position, you can't take it back.

Yes, I'm a dumb-ass for forgetting to check the box, but i play a lot of team games where that box is automatically checked, and it's not easy to remember to check that box when you're in a singles game.
