I am very new to this site, but have been a Senior E-sports Administrator for 6 years for the Global Gaming League.. anyway.. I love the ease of the site and the competition that it forsters.

One of my jobs at GGL is to find ways to foster more competition, increase website usage and find processes/features to make the gaming more fun and competitive.

Just a few suggestions that I have right now..

A ladder system (full ladder with Tier'd divisions to help maintain competitions among similar skill sets)

Speed Games - Allow the user that creates the match to 'pause' the match and enter a time/date that the match will resume. The system then will pause it and start it automatically at the time/date entered. This will allow players to pause from the match without penalty. As some of us know.. things come up and we are not always able to finish matches.

Clan profile pages - Allow clans to register their clan with CC, then they will be given access to a 'My CC Clan page'... that is setup similar to a facebook page in which others can join their 'Group/Clan' page and setup matches, leave messages, clans can display their logo and the system will keep track of their clan matches and stats. They can have a calendar page that displays their current matches and time available for matches.. etc.

Player Profile - create a module that allows players that create maps to display all of the maps they have created on their player profile.

User Created Bracket system. I have a PHP Bracket system that I could allow the coders to see and use the idea to incorporate into the system to allow premium members to set up simple 4-8-16 brackets and invite other teams/players to participate. I know that there are currently tournaments going on.. but having a nice viewable bracket would be sweet!

Just a few ideas.. as I continue to play around on the site and play more games.. I am sure ill have more ideas.

This is a great site and game... love it. Thank you all!

Wow, those are some great ideas.

About the speed pause, I think all player participating in the game would have to agree on the pause.

Leagues, enhanced tournaments and Official ones, plus clans---all should get some love this year...I'm looking forward to it.

As far as the pause for a speed game.. you could have a vote system. The admin or maybe anyone..since its based on a vote can bring up the vote to pause the game and then each player votes on it. Once a vote is voted YES for Pause.. then the person making the vote can choose 3 dates/times to resume and then there is another vote on the date/time. This way there is no question that the vote for pause was fair. To keep things simple at first.. just to test the idea.. it could just be a simple vote to pause with the time being automatically set to resume 24 hours from time of pause.

I like the idea, but here could be a problem:

Player1
Player2
Player3
Player4

Player2 has an emergency (or the game has lasted really long), votes to pause. Player1 and Player3 vote with him to pause. Sounds great so far. They vote to continue the game 24 hours from then, which is fine with all of them. Again, sounds great. But...

Player4 had 4 hours to kill today, but is busy all day tomorrow. He loses the game (by default), lowering his score and lowering his attendance rating. He also would probably get rated low and marked a deadbeat.

Possible Solution
Vote on changing to casual gaming. Then, we're back to one turn per 24 hours. If everyone agrees in game chat to go back to playing speed at a certain time, fine. Great. Do that. But, if someone can't, then it's no big deal.

Clans already have this... As far as profiles go...

As to the pause a speed game... no way in hell. That is the point of a speed game.

Player profiles = Sigs for most people...

At the ladder it will never happen here. All on 1 is the motto
