<Subject>:

* A mode of play that follows the Avalon Hill style of RISK

<Body>:

* Suggestion Idea:
Avalon hill has a couple of what I call new style risk games. These games involve many new features that I enjoy to play in real life. Some of the new features are credits (money), commanders or special units, cards that you buy or earn (this is different from the territory cards), special buildings that you place on a territory in order to gain specific advantages, multiple maps, an ability to destroy a whole entire content, eight sided dice, special battles that are done seperate from the normal battle, a "randomized" starting map in that some territories has a disadvantage, and much much more.

For reference, if someone wants to look this up:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_2210 <-- My personal favorite
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_Godstorm <-- Sink Atlantis
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Risk *not Avalon hill, but a good example

This would be an entertaining mode of play, that I believe that many can enjoy.

* Specifics:
I have no specifics yet, what I want to do is to get an OK from the community. Then I will create my own themed map (or use one of the already existing maps with permission) and create my own style of the new risk games.

After I develop a new board then I will come back here or create a new thread and post the specifics.

However with making this style, quite a bit of programing would be needed.

* Why it is needed:
I feel that CC is a great community, and I feel that I would like to share new modes of play to this community. If this mode is not liked, or it is viewed as too much that is alright, I will just play this style of risk in real life.

Im very much into this idea. However I think that you should be able to choose which options you want and which you dont. This may make it a bit crowded but I do have an idea for that. Have an option for add-on risk, which when clicked brings up a dialogue box where you can say yes or no to each option. Same on "join a game", if it is maked yes for add-ones you can have a rollover box which lists the options that will be used.
