PRISONER'S OF WAR

Concise description:
A yes or no game option that if yes will allow players to capture enemies as prisoners and trade them back for extra armies

Specifics:
*When a player attacks he may take POWs
*A POW is taken when a six is rolled to win the attack
*At the end of the round players will automatically trade back the POWs
*POWs will add up throughout the players turn
*The defender cannot take POWs
*Neutral POWs will turn into extra armies
*POWs would be represented on the right side by the players names

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
*It will make players be more aggressive (especially in No Cards games)
*It is a new game type that will enhance the gameplay

what good does that do ?

Specifics:
*When a player attacks he may take POWs he "MAY" ?
*A POW is taken when a six is rolled to win the attack so next to KILLING a defender you take an ADDITIONAL pow troop??
*At the end of the round players will automatically trade back the POWs this confuses; so there will be NO IMMEDIATE KILLS ? just pows?
*POWs will add up throughout the players turn now you lost me :s
*The defender cannot take POWs the ..w.t.f ? in real battles where the defender WINS they TOO take pows !!! hello ?!
*Neutral POWs will turn into extra armies what real life analogy has this ?
*POWs would be represented on the right side by the players names please elaborate in an example

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
*It will make players be more aggressive (especially in No Cards games) no need for that , too complicated tool
*It is a new game type that will enhance the gameplay that I don't see.. at all

Only thing I can make of this is an option in card plays:

collect POWs instead of killing the opponent's troops at half the number to be decided per battle turn.
And give opportunity to trade acquired pow's (of the original owner) for a set number of his cards.

Say normally you'd kill 14 opponent troops, now you have option to have 7 removed from board and 7 to be taken as pow.
Depending on match type a red card would buy free perhaps 20 troops, a green card 30 troops , etc..

ahh..difficult to measure the value of a card.
forget it.. #-o [-X

This seems like it has more complications that it's worth.

The last thing we need is more luck involved.

Gitmo.

One of the Rick PC games had this available. It made some big spikes in deployment on some turns, and let you recover armies from attacks between two people, so attacking during a 3 player game wouldn't be as dangerous.

OK, but if we get Gitmo, then we need a Supreme Court. Come to think of it we need a whore for congress, an incompetent intelligence agency, and flat out liars for President, Vice President, and Secretary of State.

You are correct, it is too complicated.

I think this idea has potential... Perhaps you keep your POW's like cards (except you're never forced to trade them in). And for every X POW's you trade in you get an army, where X is 3 or 5 or 6 or some other arbitrary number. Just like cards, you're asked if you want to trade in POW's for armies (with the number of armies listed as a little opener box thingy, like on fortification or advancing armies or deployment). And you can only get 1 POW per roll.

That's a little better but I think the idea should be scrapped
