trouble with teams

i'm interested in playing team games, but have no idea how to communicate only with my teammates... is there a specific, acknowledge method for doing this? i'm new to this site, thank you.

In the game screen, scroll to to the bottom and use the chat.

it allows me to send a message to everyone or to send a message to myself, but i see no option for sending to only teammates. should i?

If it's a team game, ya.

In team games you can use the Game Chat to talk to your teamate(s)
and there is a [box] to un-check when you want to talk to everyone.

the automatic chat setting for a team game should be on "team" so if you type something it should only go to your teammate
