Thank You Slayer! you can read! I'm not considering breaking a truce, I have only once so far, and it was with a friend the last round of a game I took him out to take out another... smart players shouldn't have to make alliances, they should just realize the top player and not be stupid enough to attack the loser and hand over the game... but sometimes it's better to make that clear for them stupid people out there....

I hope this clears up this issue for you.

Remember Goodfellas? When someone screws you over, you turn on them without warning. Even better, you invite them to a promotion party and then shoot them in the head.

If you made a stupid alliance, and you will die because of it, then you should break the alliance and save the game. No one trusts anyone who makes alliances in the first place, so it's not like you're lost anything akin to honour. You're already scum, you might as well let the other scum find out about it and save your ass.

Hey, I didn't make the STUPID deal ok? I was practically tied with another, and he teamed up with me, so I took over ok? I'm not the stupid truce maker, and it's over now, he didn't break it, and if they team up, I still might now win for sure... so why don't you guys READ next time...

No, you didn't make the bad move, but you convinced some other player to do it. So essentially you've screwed over the third player because the last guy was stupid enough to listen to you. That's the most obnoxious position, because you accepted 5 rounds, and everyone agrees that's a terrible deal to make. If that's what you need to do to win your games, then by all means, keep taking advantage of stupid players. Hopefully you get the same treatment.

First off, don't make truces or alliances, like it's been said.

Sometimes you have the unspoken truces, as in, one guy is extremely powerful, you and another person have continents, you each leave 1 man on the border, in order to bring troops to the front lines against the bigger guy. Those don't always need words, especially when neither of you can really spare the troops to attempt to break the other's bonus. And when his troops distract the bigger guy so your own troops can be used p_o

But, for those, those are the type that can be broken anytime. If it's terminator, and you could kill him for points, it's understandable. Or if one of you gains a definite advantage, anything is up for grabs.

If you actually go and make an alliance... Then honor it. Pay the consequences for actually making an alliance, and don't break it for the sake of a simple game. Friends are more important than points, imo.
