Bleeding red stars on the forum topics

Postby gdeangel on Fri Apr 11, 2008 1:27 pm

I once (during a brief stint in IT) was working on a design project and the head engineer came over and said to me: if you ever want to piss of the end-user, put a giant blinking brain on the page. Thankfully it was not my giant blinking brain he was referring to...

I'm reminded of that when I see these bleeding red stars all over the "upgraded" forum. Completely useless.. distracting.. and none too easy on the eye. I know the site wants to push the cc brand, but please guys... its a forum.

I think you need Premium Deluxe to turn off the stars.

I don't mind the stars, but the blinking ones aren't very good. There should be a better way to denote the large topics; the blinking is slow enough that it's hard to tell.

They're obnoxious to me too and I would start a petition to have them removed
but that's soooo yesterday.

ha!!! but, it would only be good if they put up options for you to decide, and you were unable to pick out the
former buttons you so dearly love and miss with all your heart!!!-0

p.s.-the option to turn them off is in your control panel...

You know that's exactly what Wizard's of the Coast did recently. And they called him "Gleemax."
And we were very much annoyed. We are still annoyed. We are still talking in a royal pronoun.
