Is it acceptable to share information with players you are not allied with in a fog of war game?

Divulging information is an obvious attempt at getting around whole point of the fog or war option. However, these polls will always show favor to the people who think it is ok to share such information because everyone who doesn't want to play with cheaters doesn't play fog of war games and therefore no longer care.

just give them a neg jonny.

something along the lines of "this player reveals troop sizes and locations in FoW games. BEWARE."

then the rest of us know to avoid that player if it bothers us.

The mods should step in and have a clear guideline if this is really abusing the neg so that some players can get their way how a fog should be played over the majority. After all, the fog format does not disallow the exchange of intel which is the opinion of the majority too.

Whether it is done publicly or privately, it is irrelevant to any collusion rules due to risk of false intel and that the parties to it are not allies. To my recollection, there are no rules to compel such intel sharing to be disclosed in public game chat.

It would remove 3 of mine from one game.

And if you don't like FoW don't play it

I don't play fog of war because I don't like how a alot of the fog of war people play it. I think fog of war is actually an interesting option.

Scott/Joe,

There is no need for me to say anything about what you wrote since I have referred the matter to the mods for further action :)

I never understood how it could be allowed to leave neg's over a thing that is allowed. Stupidity...
