Well, I tried those but I suck at them (probably becuase my tinternet or fingers slow)... So if I repeat what Poo or Scott do in this game, I will always lose. So what is wrong with trying something else, such as chasing someone across 8 territories??

The way I see it, it is up to your skill as a player to predict what other people will do. If you want to play 8 Poo-s, set up a private game. But if you see a cook in one of your games, be prepared that they guy will try to take over Africa, and whoever is trying to stop him, will lose this game together with the cook ;)

BTW, I remember my first such game (It was only 4 players, I reckon)... I had a few territories in EU, and said that I am taking it, and everyone let me to have it round 2. In Round 4 I tried to take over NA and one of them tried to stop me: needless to say that we both lost

No, to neg them says this is a person that everyone should avoid playing, in your opinion, not just that you had a bad game.

Funny how so MANY of those who feel they "know" what makes a "good" move are actually fairly low ranked players!

Well generally I play 1 type of game and know what kinda moves it takes to win a game. I play 8 man freestyle Escalating. So to crash into someone else big stack early does you nor the person you crashed into no good. Generally both of you end up losing. In cases like this a person has the right to leave appropriate feedback. I always tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I see the same players making the same mistakes time after time in the games. They chase bonuses, which mean nothing in 8 man games, or they run big stacks together early on and then tell you they thought you were a threat. Yet next round or 2 you both die. In the type of game I play the same people win about 90% of the time. Tells you these people must be doing something right?

That would be you I assume Bruce.

I do win my share of these games but there are others who do as well. And you know what we all play very similar. I know people say that is boring and blah blah, but most of us play to win. Don't you?

I play many public games and generally I can tell when someone is going to go for a bonus. I try to warn them that it is not a good idea numerous times, yet they still go for it game after game and keep losing. One can only take so much before they decide it is time to cut ties and move on. Usually I just put them on my list and forget about them. Any of them are welcome to PM to ask them to take them off and I generally will. I have yet to receive one PM from a low ranking person asking me why they are on my list or to take them off. Only higher ranking people have requested so. I have PM'ed many of these same people with tips on winning more games, but none of them seem to be willing to listen or just tune me out one. As timminz put it in another thread. "The way a person reacts to being told they made a bad move is weather or not I play them again or decide not to"

No, I just let my robot software and dice patch do the work. I am far too busy reading all the posts in the forum old chap.

I used to play a lot of 8 player escalating freestyle speed games. Never was very good at them but it was always fun to have all those points on the line. Then arrogant, selfish and egotistic people like Scott-Land and codeblue put me on their ignore list without a reason, ruining the fun for myself and others who wish to play with me. Higher ranked players tend to be the worst to try and get along with. For some reason I haven't had many problems with lower ranked players.

I will give you a few tips as to why this happened. First off you either chased a bonus too many times, or you ran into big stacks early too many times. Generally higher ranked players are not mean, but they are intense at times. Why? Simple fact they want to win, unlike low ranking players who generally do not see the mistakes they make or others make so they cannot get mad at what they do not see. To most low ranking players they think there moves are good until all of a sudden they are gone from the game and wonder why.

Actually I play to have fun. Ironically I find that I have a lot of fun when I am winning but the nature of the game is to have fun.

I received a negative feedback for making a truce in the game chat. Which was 100% legal according to the rules. I asked that it be removed and the pole smoking faggot king achilles allows the feedback saying that "truces are an allowable reason for feedback" what the f*ck....now we can get feedback for truces? The player we made a truce against held 3 bonus territories, neither of us had a single bonus and we agreed to attack the 3rd player exclusively to get back in the game.

Ah yes we all play for fun, but losing is not fun to me. Winning makes it that much more fun as you said.
