What are your best game(s) of risk?

Postby Mac2012Michigan on Mon May 26, 2008 1:10 pm

My first one had to be the best ever.

It lasted 5 rounds on a Classic Map, Sequential, Unlimited, Escalating. House Rule that you get a card for every country taken over, but you could only turn in sets of 3 of a kind (1 unit, 5 unit, or 10 unit 3of a kinds) *BTW this was a real life game*

Red = 1st Player
Green = Me
Blue = 3rd Player
Yellow = 4th Player
Pink = 5th Player
Teal = 6th Player

I held Alberta, Alaska, Kamachutan, along with random spots in europe, aftrica, and peru in SA.

Red held 3 territorys in Austraila and 2 in the Southern part of Europe.

Blue held 3 territorys in Africa and Brazil in SA. Holding Mogolia and Japan also

Yellow held NW territory, Greenland, Quebec, and 2 territories in the Africa/Middle East area.

Pink had the 3 Northern Asian countries, Iceland, and Siam

Teal had Argentina and Venzuala in SA. he had some european countrys too.

1st Round:
-Red took over Austrailia and Siam. Fortified Siam and Southern Europe (has 2 cards)
-I took over NW territory, Quebec, and MidWestern United States. My army was pretty thinned out but I did okay (3 cards)
-Blue attacked Argentina and North Africa, and Madagascar. Failed to get Argentina (2 cards)
-Yellow attacked me in revenge, but I held off
-Pink took almost all of asia but couldn't take Middle East and the South Coastal areas (2 cards)
-Teal took over brazil (1 card)

2nd Round:
After yellow took out a chunk of my army I was thinned out pretty good. After a land treaty between me and Teal player I gave up 3 territories to move 2-3 armies back to Alberta.

-Red took his bonus and built up his army at Siam (3 cards turned in a set for 3 armies)
- I Took NW territory and Ontario (6 cards -no set :(- )
-Blue took out 1 of Reds European countrys and the rest of Africa (4 cards turned in a set for 6 armies)
-Yellow put reinforcements on Greenland and tried to attack Pink from Middle East and failed. had 4 armies left
-Pink takes 2 of Yellows countrys and took Kamachtan from me (5 cards -3turned in for 9 armies)
-Teal attacked Greenland but failed to conquer (4 cards turned in a set for 12 armies)

3rd Round:
Watch my wierd and bizarre come back O_o I still laugh at this...I had a total of 8 armies the start of this turn.

-Red: Takes everything from Siam to the Middle east and takes back Southern Europe from Blue. Also takes 2 African Countries (6 cards-turned in 2 sets for 33 armies)
-I have 6 cards but no sets. need armies badly I look to conquer all of NA. I work an agreement of peace with Teals SA for the conquering of the agreed countries. I take everything in NA, except for Greenland I end up losing 5 of my 8 armies but I get 4 cards for my troubles earning me 21 and 24 troops per respectivly. I get my borders secured. Ready to take back Kamachtan and Eruope...(3 cards)
-Blue has half Africa, takes Brazil, fortifys Egypt and North Africa. (3 cards-turns in for a 27 armies)
-Yellow has Greenland left yet with forces on both sides. Me from NA and Red from europe. For revenge she attacks me no luck :( her 8 vs my 18 does no good ends up 5 to 16 before she quits. (3 cards)
-Pink has most of asia and blocks off Red from everybody and the Central and Northern part of Asia. (a set for 30 armies, making a 60 some unit wall around the controlled asia.)
-Teal buys time and takes Brazil back (2 cards)

Round 4:
Review:
Red: Holds Half of Africa, Western half of Europe, just needs Ukraine and a smaller eastern country to hold Europe, Austrailia, and Middle East Coastal Area.
I: Have all of NA, except Greenland, Kamachtan.
Blue:Has Egypt and North Africa
Yellow: Will fall... soon
Pink: Asaian Wall....Holds Ukraine for the moment
Teal: has 11 armies in SA would be gone if not for my aggreement

Red: Takes Ukraine and Iceland fortifys them both. (at this point he has an army of 90 units or so) he briefly left to check on some kids so he missed my turn lol.
I: Take Greenland, Take Kamatchan (although heavily fortified I got through with little casualties) and sinse he left most of the non border countries with 1 person I take them all over...9 countrys total including Japan,and its bordered countrys, all countrys bordering Ukraine, and everything North of Mongolia and China. I turn in sets for 130+ units and fortfy Greenland and the countrys bordering Mongolia and China and Ukraine.-I have 196 units now-!

After that everyone gave up basically, they tried to make treatys with me and stuff. For my first time I thought that was pretty cool. :) I know it was lucky and all but very fun just to PO Red player (I didn't like him very much). :P :D

Sorry if you didn't understand my comment. It did require a little looking beyond the surface. What I was trying to get at, was that game stories are like fish stories. It doesn't matter if it's true or not (I have no reason to doubt that this one is true, mostly because I didn't bother to read the whole thing), everyone's got one, and VERY few people actually care about anyone else's.

Me and my pal used to play what we call "Super Commander Risk". You each start with 2 big guys (the commanders), and they roll a 8 sided dice to attack and defend. You can put the commanders wherever you want at the beginning when you place your armys.

But does anyone have a favorite anus?

Sorry, didn't seem to long to me but w/e. I just wanted to hear some fun stories, but if everyone is going to be dork about it, well guess they just like ruining some noobie fun. I'm no expert at risk or being social, but you could just write a summary of what happend. Or about a favorite part. I just was bored and wanted to listen to something amazing. and if don't want to tell me, u can show me a link or something. I'm just bored and I don't mind reading. something to do while I wait for my turn....

Yah a card per country got very...lol crazy... expecially when you take over more than 3-4 countries. But we didn't have all the time in the world (we had 1 hour a per day, and 5 days. And when you have 1 person who has played before and 5 who havent, takes a long time lol.) So we had to make it quick, sure did the trick lol.

And I dont' mind the rude comments, I can tell the idiots apart from everyone then :mrgreen:

OK, I've got a story. A few days ago, I was playing a speed game, and one of my opponents cashed for 40, and then ran out of time, thus losing all his armies. Then, the next day I was playing another speed game, with the same opponent, and he was saying how the dice have been screwing him lately. Well, apparently, he was afraid to attack, since the dice have been so mean, because he cashed (I forget how much), and deployed into a great position to eliminate another player who had 5 cards (this would likely have caused the winning chain-reaction), but only took a card and stopped. I won both games. Yay for capitalizing on other people's moves (or lack thereof).

This one time I was playing with my friends at home, our house rule was "for every country you lose, you get stabbed once". I won, but my two friends ended up in the hospital due to blood loss. They're both OK now, but one is kinda out of it...good game, i had all of Asia basically from the start. :P
