There's at least two reasons why players over 2K avoid low ranking games and only one of them is the fear of losing points.
Yeah, at first I could have cared less about losing, points, or rank. Over time I've developed this desire to keep my points, sort of like Gollum in Lord of the Rings. I'm not even a high rank but the feeling of keeping them has detracted from the fun of actually playing the game. Detlef, once again you direct me back to the true reason of playing this game in the first place: fun and sportsmanship. The points should just be a cool benefit of coming through with a victory.
