Tools for creating clan signature banners?

Sorry if this belongs in another forum - I wasn't sure so I dumped it in General Discussion. Can anyone reccommend any tools/programs for making signature banners to display below forum posts? Our clan is trying to create one - so I'm hoping somebody on here can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

p.s.-i hope people appreciate the constant updates and sly jokes inserted from time to
time to give props to members and congrats when they are due. one of the best ever, and
least seen was the classic .5 second flash of a page with all THOTA members listed as
members.. that was awesome... BLITZ!!!! you know you are half bandit!!!!

p.p.s.-oh, and when he inserted Twill's avatar complete with buckwheat afro in the middle
of one our member pages, in honor of brett's epic warning, that was pretty funny...

I do love Vace Cooper's sig design for the BpB's. That's one of the reasons I think it's time for our clan to have one. We'll be working on it.

it only takes about 2minutes to make a sig like the bpb's, so i dont think you need a "we'll" more like "i'll"
onmly takes 1 person lol

Just find someone that is willing to help and has some skills in photoshop, gimp, etc.

I was the idiot who designed our Avatar and sig .... i used a free program that i think is really good ... i believe it was called paint.net ? if i recall correctly ... great program and very easy to use ... has some great plugins too ! go google it it's out there some where ... was made by interns for Microsoft as a free replacement for windows Paint !

its pretty easy to do, its the animated that are harder, those usually take (me) 20-30 minutes
