The Official Poll on the wicked Issue

Postby GabonX on Fri Jul 18, 2008 7:38 pm

wicked losing her modship seems to have the community all riled up. I'm not sure if this is everyone or just a select few individuals so I have decided to make a poll on the topic. I think this is somewhat ironic as before her status was removed she was the most unpopular moderator among players which alone may have been grounds to"demod" her. There have been numerous complaints from players about the way she conducted herself so if you have only heard her side of the argument it might be a good idea to learn the whole story..
.. As for her side of the argument, as near as I can tell she is upset that the people above her had slow response times (which is a prime example of the pot calling the kettle black based on feedback dispute resolution/the time it takes her to respond to pms) and that Twill had a big ego (see the "pot calling the kettle black" analogy). For all of her hard work and good intentions she may have had, wicked caused a lot of disharmony on the site. If your impression of wicked or Twill is based off of wicked's recent posts alone you really haven't been around long enough to know the whole story. I personally have dealt with both Twill and wicked privately and I have found Twill to be laid back and easy to get along with while wicked would often be condescending if I got a response at all. Quite frankly I think wicked is taking the negative sentiment that she created towards the administration of this site and is now blaming it on Twill, quite successfully I might add.

While I can't tell you what the administration's reasons for nixing her were, I can give you a list of reasons why I think it was the right decision.
1. She was often condescending to other non moderator players as well as other moderators
2. She showed preferential treatment towards some members of the site
3. She would become biased towards other members and would unfairly make rulings against them (which were often contradictory to other decisions she had made)
4. Many members of the site complained about her and there were numerous calls to have her mod status removed

If any of this is news to you I suggest you check out my post here. It provides concrete examples of what I'm talking about..

Frankly this whole thing reminds me of the election this year when Hillary Clinton was about to lose but then she cried on national television and went on to win a couple of states which kept her in it. I think this has been coming for a long time and I think that the people who are just now learning about wicked (from wicked's not so objective posts) should take the time to study the background information. Regardless of my opinion, this thread is here to see where the community really stands on the issue so cast your votes so we can see what the consensus really is.

*for those who don't want to read the above comment

wicked may not have been as bad as some of the people here say she was, but she was far from being a fair and objective moderator as well. On top of that, I think her response to all of this has been very childish. She is acting as though she is entitled to hold a position on someone else's website and this just isn't the case.

Just out of curiosity can anyone provide an actual example of Twill's ego? I have always found him to be polite and responsive to my concerns regarding the site.

No, and no one has ever seen his penis either. The stories about both have been greatly exaggerated.

If your grasp of events here is as informed as your politics
then you probably aren't the right person to create a poll.

If nothing else, this proves that poles just have a way of popping up in wicked's wake.

And your post proves that it's time for you to play H2SU again...that was the funniest damn avatar I've seen in forever.

Oh dear...I've gone off topic and not mentioned Wicked, polls, or poles in any way.

Oh wait, I have now. Nevermind.

your problems with wicked and the reason you get along with Twill are the same because both you and Twill are pricks and there fore get along, while wicked will not deal with either of you twos bullshit and is treated as a pariah because of it.

Wow such an ego thing here.. I've read through each one of the posts and followed the link...sounds like a bunch of insecure boys hiding behind "inconsistencies" in how a female moderator interprets the rules because they can't stand a woman who is equally (or more) intelligent and comfortable in asserting that. My god how could any real woman agree that it's okay for someone to say something negative about you :o It must be that the woman is just so dumb she doesn't understand the "rules", either that or she just must be that awful "b" word #-o .
Don't take life so seriously...nobody gets out alive.
