A confusing matter, + relevant question...

Postby HardAttack on Sat Aug 30, 2008 4:22 pm

dear fellows, i m trying to understand what the algorithm there is about timing of freestyle games...
I m new on cc, but played a number of games so far, not too much, not too less. Most of my games are freestyles just because of fast turns.

Question 1/ As far as i see, no matter it is, in a freestyle i get my turn in max 24 hours. It s ok, but someone can use 2 turns which is sequential (consequetive) between my 1 turn and next one... This creates somehow unfairity. isnt it ?

Question 2/ If i am ok with what i remember, not usual, but sometimes i come close to run out of my period, in other words my clock comes very close to the last 30 minutes etc, this is mostly due to i m away from my town and no internet etc, then i turn to my game, take my turn in last 30 minutes...What is interesting, just after i play my turn, a new turn comes active to me....is it becasue of 24 hours thing ? is it because i was almost run out of my time, but i caught it at the very end and new turn comes active in the following 24 hours which means 30 or less miutes later in my example ? Please explain some fellows.

Question 3/ I didnt miss a turn so far i think, but i saw some other ppl missed some turns, then interestingly saw them placing units (extras which is different from the units placed in that turn) they were about to place in their missing turn. So how many turns a player can miss in a game ? So he can place (missed turns *3 + 3 from that turn) units in one turn...Isnt it unfair ? finally a misseed turn is not my problem but must be his/her problem and he/she must pay because of it, then he/she must not let to use units which belong to missed turns. This is my point anyway....

Answers and concerns will be higly appreciated. Thanks..Regards.

Okay, your wording is very confusing, but...

1. Ya, it's unfair, deal with it. If you don't like it, don't play freestyle.

2. If you time out your turn and you're last to go, you'll get to take another right away. If you end your turn normally, you won't.

3. If a player misses a turn, they get deferred armies. Let's say I miss two turns and I own Australia. I come back and get 5 armies. I place my armies and play my turn and when EVERYTHING is all done, I get my deferred armies. I get to place 10 armies, because I own Australia and missed two turns. Once I place those armies, my turn is over. I HAVE to place them in one big chunk. If you were to take my Australia bonus after I had missed one turn, I'd come back and get 3 armies, and my deferred armies would be 6, I don't get the +2 for the turn that I held it.
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.
