Question about how long it takes to join a clan

Since there isn't a Q&A in the clan section and I couldn't find this in the stickys, once applying to a clan by the usergroup function by going to your inbox first how long does it usually take for you to find out if that clan accepted you and will ask the admn. to add you to their clan? Because I was wondering if a clan will tell you if they will accept you or not because I was also wondering if it would be acceptable then to apply to more than one competitive clan since all of them may not be accepting members?

The admin of the clans, aka their leaders, could add you the next moment, or wait days, depending on the person. It only takes one click or two to accept you, but when they click is up to them.

ok thanks kotaro. Is it ok to apply to several that interest you, or should you wait until you are either accepted or rejected meaning you no longer see that clan pending?

It depends. If you are going for a competitive clan, such as Eternal Empire, The Legion, etc, only apply to one; they have rules within them about being in only 1 competitive clan. However, with Social clans, be in as many as you like, they're just there for the private forums. I myself am in 4 or 5.

It depends on if they are competitive clans or usergroups. I am in only one competivie clan (as are most users in clans) but a few social usergroups. I would think if appplying to a compeititive clan, there wouldn't be a multitude to just join.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is if you can apply to multiple competitive clans at once and join the one's that accept you, or is that considered offensive to clans. I understand about being in only one competitive clans. I just see that it seems a lot of clans like their members to have premium and may be higher rank than what I'm at currently and some clans don't specify that. So basically I'm looking for a competitive clan that would accept me but I don't know what clans will willingly take freemiums or not since only one specificy says premium only but I can see others only have premiums, so basically is it ok to apply to three competitive clans for example at the same time?

I would go one at a time ... because most (not all) clans are slowly leaning toward the one competitive clan rule ... so what if all three accept you and then you have to deal with PMing the other two clan leaders to get you taken off their roster .... sometimes that can take time too lol

so if it was me I would just apply to one at a time ... but that is just me

Apply one at a time, due to the fact that you can't cancel membership requests, so after you ask to be let in, they either let you in or they don't. However, if 2 competitive groups let you in, they might get real pissy at you for joining two of them.

Go to the Create/Join a Clan sub-forum of Callouts and look for a clan thread that interests you. Once you find one, PM the clan leader to get more information about that clan. That is your best route to take because most competitive clan leaders probably just deny those people who apply via the Usergroups tab.

O if you did send a pm to a clan leader and they have not responded for a week but they have been online, is it safe to assume they are not accepting new clan members?

As "Gatekeeper" for XI, I get an email when somebody requests entry into our group. I have a standard reply in my saved box that I copy and paste in a pm to them, explaining the requirements for entry. I think the best advice for a new member wanting to join a clan, would be to enter games with clan members and inquire directly about it in game chat....that way both parties get to see what is being offered. Also, many CC members do not realize that by clicking the "groups" box on a players profile, you can see what their affiliations are. Handy tool. As XI is a "one competitive clan" only group, that's the first thing I do. Hope this info helps.

If you have a clan pending membership, is there a way to remove that clan from the pending list or once it is pending there's nothing you can do?
