Tips for a total newbie

Hi guys, happy new year.
Sorry for being a complete noob and i bet this gets posted alot but....
Ive never played risk before but have wanted to for a while, found this site and im completley lost... any tips or guides? Ive tried looking but only found little bits.

First of all you should check out the strategy forum, there's bound to be some threads there by other new people asking questions. Also, be careful about which games you join. It might not be a great idea to join some of the more 'special' maps just yet, until you get a better grasp of the game. Also, sequential is probably the best to start out with. Freestyle can be very demanding.

Here at the Society we specialize in teaching Terminator style games along with Standard style games. Terminator style games are a great way to keep up your points while learning the ins and outs of game play. We are always working on a growing teacher base and have staff, to a lesser extent at this time, available to aid you in other styles and game settings as well. only play 'classic' style maps such as the 2 classics and ones based on real places e.g. australia for now, and probs falt rate cards unlim forts sunny, try and get a grip on one particular game type and you should be able to work up from there
