cashing in sets of cards

I'm new here and have watched some games played some and learned from my mistakes .. I saw my opportunitty and blew this person off the board .. received their cards cashed in two sets .. then went on to take another person out of the game .. received their cards but never was given a chance to turn in another set during that same turn .. what gives?

u have to have 5 cards or more during middle turn to turn in again
