I never take part in an alliance. When asked, I simply say no thanks...I don't do alliances, just play your own game. Alliances always come back to haunt you...so I just don't do them.

...sounds like you're just making the wrong alliances.

Breaking an alliance abruptly isn't bad form. In fact it is very cunning.

This is what people should consider that any alliance is informal and can be turned against at any moment.

Alliance.

Okay first of all, I am the one he had the alliance with. I personally was fine with him breaking the alliance and actually had expected him to do so.
What I did was create an agreement where I cleared a way for him to get through and continued the alliance in that way. He from there did what he could beyond my continent and we both did what we could to weaken the game's dominant player.

P.S. I have already PMed this to him, but I'd like to thank him for that alliance because I would have never won th game without him.

I guess thats makes me completely mental then

I never do alliances in singel games - they have a tendency to backfire and there can only be one winner anyway - if I'm not strong enough to win on my own in singel games - so be it.

If you want an alliance play doubles or triples. Cause any ally you may have in a singles game..... may just be taking your points in the end.
