If you are a casual player, not experienced yet with all settings or all maps, and you get an unsollicited invite to a team game (triples, quadruples) form an experienced player to a complicated map, like for example Spanish Armada or Kings Court 2, with the following settings: freestyle, manual and you don't know the other players on your team, considerer declining the invite.
Your opponents will be very experienced on this map and these settings. They will likely know each other, and will coordinate their drops, turns and strategy, whilst your team will just play as if it's sequential. Within 1 or 2 turns your opponents will have already eliminated one of your team mates. You will lose, and learn nothing, and your opponents will have scored some easy points.
Sadly, there are players on this site who are looking to rob other players of points by setting up games that they will 99% likely win.
