XML Question [Outdated]

Postby pepperonibread on Wed Jun 27, 2007 11:55 am

When I'm testing XML coordinates, I first paste the Photobucket address into the Map URL box, then specify the map size. Then, I paste the XML file from my computer into the Map XML file box, but when I click Test Coordinates, nothing happens. Anybody know the reason for this? (I used the Africa large map and the Africa XML, which I had saved onto my computer earlier).

I don't think so, because I used the large Africa map and the Africa XML, so there shouldn't have been any mistakes.

put it throught the xml tester above it and ensure that all errors are picked up. This is exactly what happened to me. ebcasue there is teh smallest error in your code the XML reader can coordinate it throughtout the map.

When I do the XML tester, it says the XML is not valid, but at the bottom it says zero warnings and zero errors detected.

Maybe I uploaded the file wrong. Anyway, here's a screenshot of what I think the problem is:

There's a space in front of the first line that isn't on the Africa XML at http://www.conquerclub.com/maps. The problem is, Microsoft Word won't let me get rid of the space.

it should be a txt file, so maybe notepad will allow you to do it, but not word? I didn't look at the file you uploaded since it was just a Africa XML.

post up your Global warming xml and I'll look at it

Nah, I'm not doing my map's XML, so I don't have it yet. I'm just playing around with the code.
