Twill, you have failed in what must be, as Community Manager, your first task -consultation with the community.
At no point did i see an opportunity for the members of this site to express their opinion.
Once again, your actions demonstarte you are unfit to be in a position of responsibility or power.

Jeez… people... Judging from your reactions, the Second Coming is just around the corner. And this after having read one post. Just because someone’s bitching about the ownership and administration doesn’t mean that they are presenting an objective truth. Step back a little and it’s obvious that wicked’s post is bitter and childish.

So, wicked will be gone as a moderator. And? People come and go but as far as I’m concerned the gaming is what this site is all about (even though the forums spice things up a little). I’m sure that a lot of people can do as good as a job as wicked. No one is irreplaceable. Start a game and get over it.

I don’t understand why people don’t realize that they should shut the f*ck up and be happy that they have an account. This isn’t some kind of hippie farm. Lack made this site and the rest of us are visitors.

As for the Second Coming…

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,

Guess wicked was the rough beast that slouch toward Bethlehem to be born… :D

As cold- hearted as it sounds- I completely agree with alstergren.
This is, after all, an online- gaming site; something hobby-turned serious made up from nothing by lack. He owns it- we pay a small fee to enjoy it. And it's not like we can't do shit around here- if an admin request is delayed 3 days- well shit, theres about 10,000 active members on this site. You won't die if it takes 2 or 3 days to get an answer out of an authority- this isn't a bloody hospital.
It's idiotic how many people just trail after something said- lack does an update and makes a thread within Announcements, and a hundred people start blabbering what great kind of job he has done. Wicked makes a post, an equally high number of people do the same. We have no insight on what is going on between the mods and admins, and people's views on this issue are biased; personally I don't care that someone loses their mod status-- it didn't have any impact on my playing status when she was a mod; it won't have one when she's gone.
Don't get me wrong- I have absolute sympathy for Wicked's disease... but f*ck, people... get over it.
wicked wrote:So I challenge all the mods, and all the site, to question authority because
the "authority" here is a waffling two-faced idiot.

Wow- very smart. I only took a glimpse at the GD section, yet I already saw 3 threads referring to this issue. Idiotic trolls will jump at this opportunity- I can alread hear it now when a mod tries to intervene "oh- you want to sack me just as you did to wicked?!". You definitely helped the site in the past, a great deal- but this is turning into a joke... This isn't watergate.

Again- I only wish you the best for your recovery.

lol it wasn't 3 days to answer a question, rather 3 days to get any *action* out of them, when something needed to be done sooner rather than later. frustrating when you're trying to deal with a troll in chat who's unstoppable.

BTW, I appreciate everyone's support, I never expected this much.

So you don't want things to get better?
Or to stop them getting worse?
Or to stop paying members of this site (like Wicked) getting abused?
Sad, very sad.

Wow, stuff like that makes me happy I didn't renew. However biased the views may be, it's pretty obvious the management of this place got fucked up since a while.

On the positive side, you can now lay back, stop getting shit all the time for your modding and focus on recovery :D Get well soon Wicky.

I cant help being well educated. Its handy for destroying pitiful sub intellects, i admit - but i didnt ask to be this good 8-)

So you have no ambition for this site to be better, or for injustices to be fought.
Thats your perogative, just it says nothing good about you.
It means you've abandoned your right to fair treatment.

Well, I can see where this one is going; two factually correct statements colliding head-on at 'cross-purposes' miles per hour.

In other news: I agree with Suggs (change and democratisation of this site would be a good thing), though I accept that qeee1 has identified the current factual position correctly (not that it's existence is an argument for its retention, it's only a statement of what is currently the case).

suggs, your arguments are illogical, I refute two things you said:

1.

From this you infer that I have no ambition to improve the site.

This is why I don't engage with someone so wonderfully educated as yourself.

You do have rights and as a collective you have power ... this is a community-driven website. Take it from twilldon't himself:

nice faux reconstruction DM. I made one post on the argument yet you infer I made 3 all saying the same thing.

Very true. Without the community, this site would not have any of the Greasemonkey additions (including BOB), Tournaments, or new maps.

Thanks Mustard for expressing much better than i could have the thing like wot i waz yer know tring to say to me brovva quee.

And Qee1 -yeah, i was exagerating for dialetical purposes -we don't own the site, but as Wicked's Twil quote points out, Twil is ultimately responsible to the WHOLE of CC, not just Lack.

And, on an emotional level -doesn't the whole thing just STINK? Don't you feel pissed off?
I guess not/
Lets face it, reading between the lines, Wicked got kicked out because Twill didnt like someone with credibiltiy and authority disagreeing with him. Thats not how this site should be run.

Amazing. Qeee-ster...it is wonderful to see you back :D

Wicked got fired; From a JOB. Most places, one wouldn't have the luxury of remaining at said job and stirring the pot. That person, for whatever reason, is GONE. Wicked.....be nice :D

This is LACK'S site people; he OWNS it. We pay to play a game....THAT'S ALL. He improves this site continually (except for the fubar dice), and provides this venue for you to bitch aboot it. Be happy. Play a risk-based game. STFU and quit whining aboot your perceived injustices.....but DO...for petes sake......keep exercising your lack-given democratic rights! lol

Whoopsie!

You have mistaken a paraphrase of likely dialogue as a reconstruction of past dialogue, then made a whingy and erroneous post about it. Bad luck.

Look qeee1. I appreciate that you're very keen to be mistaken for some kind of CC forum genius and droll wit now that you're back with us; but could you try to keep calm, perceptive and less shrill while you're going about it in the future? That way you won't look like you're trying so hard and the whole impression might come together a bit better.

Oh, and practice that 'reading' thing you keep hearing about before running your gob off at me next time, that way you've got a chance of not being wrong.

Cheers.
