Talked to a local tribesman in Dallas one time who carefully reminded me that Holland was the capital of Amsterdam.

Here's a rather old Austrian news item regarding the topographical knowledge of the average Joe Six-pack. It's the subtitled version as I can imagine that not everybody here speaks fluent Austrian.
