ATT, AVG and probly just a windows firewall i odnt think AVG does firewalls

ive played on a laptop through the same internet connection and it worked fine

Well, it's not that then, that's for sure... Try doing what Reggie Mac said (standard IP for that is 192.168.1.1 but yours may be different), but I do think it's because of your wireless internet...
