Did I mention that I love Frop?

no, that IS the point!! his posts are always on topic, and pretty much hilarious. sure, he toes the line every now and then, like alot of us do, but he doesn't blatantly break the rules. to my knowledge, he has never even received a formal warning let alone a ban. frop is great, some people just don't get him!!!-0

Actually he managed to get a warning for flaming our dearly departed!!!

PS - Hulmey -> You do realise that you are currently "trolling" this thread? Or have you not worked that one out yet?

Well I am heartened by the abundance of positive replys here.

But perhaps you could all elaborate a little, what impact do you think that Frop's contributions have on the overall community?

hulmey, this thread is not for discussing whether or not Frop is a troll. Move along and find somewhere else to play.

Are you serious? This is considered to being off-topic now? EXACTLY WHAT THE OP IS ASKING?

i think Frop is the new owen. is this a good or bad thing, well of course it'sa good thing. owen most times can be a sarcasic twat, but that's what i like about him. :D Frop is on the right path. keep up the good work Frop, you've took the torch from owen and carrying it on.

not that owen has gone, just mellowed out a bit.

Frop is awesome. Smart, witty, a really enjoyable read.
overall i think he has a positive influence on our CC. he makes the forums more enjoyable to read and at the same time is a very helpful chap. the borderline trolling is just part of the experience, although i agree with those that have been saying the only people that feel trolled by it are those not equipped with the brainpower to understand what he says. theres a prime example in this thread ;)

no, he just hasn't been the target of the mods/admins yet, in their attempt to clean
up the GD... here is the recipe, add in more than 2 bogus bans, countless friendly
warnings, veiled threats of perma-bans, and unfair moderation, and frop will be just
like me. cautious.-0

Well, I think it was a general statement when DM asked what people think of Frop, not specifically if he's liked.
I guess that's up to DM.

Never heard of Frop by the way, but I'm sure he's as foolish as the rest of you.

Dancing Mustard wrote:No seriously, I think he’s great.

The thing is that I keep hearing people complaining about him and saying that he’s a ā€œTroll Monsterā€.

Given that he’s currently one of CC’s most controversial individuals, what kind of effect do you think he’s having on the community here? Is he improving it by adding new perspectives on CC events, or is he decrementing it by upsetting people he disagrees with? Ought the post more, or does he post too much? How do you think he contributes to matters here?

In other words, what kind of impact do you think that Frop has on CC, and how do you think that his continued presence here (if indeed you think that presence will endure) will affect the site as a whole?

This seems to me more like a larger pot hiding behind the smaller less obtrusive black kettle desperately camouflaging its own color. I may be stretching the proverbial saying just a little, so please correct me if I'm in the wrong.

you are right about one thing Herpes; this is all about colour.

It subjectively (by asking the right question and not stating the inevitable answer) implies the need to husband cohesion and legibility in this place. Whilst calmly reiterating the need to maintain vibrancy. The only way to do that is by carefully allowing for its less orthodox characters.

Well than would you also agree that it is this sort of premeditated menstrual ovulation of undermining threads that kicks the unprepared forum readers(or unsuspecting fathers in my scenario)in the prick? Not to call Dancing Mustard a deceptive angry woman scheming for a bun in her oven for further attention or anything. I'm simply trying to give this instance a more fitting analogy

Oh look, Herpy has rocked up to troll this thread, while pretending to be upset about trolls.

How cute.

Anyway, if you don't have anything constructive to add about Frop and his contribution to this site... then this isn't the thread for you.

I feel so blessed to have so many loyal subjects. Although Frop is the topic of discussion, I think the true derivative of this thread stems from something deeper and more attention needy. However, with more apparent realities aside, I feel that Frop walks a straight line between wrong and right. He knows when and how hard to push buttons. As for getting under the skin of certain peoples, it's nothing the less insecure will not grow and learn from. His thoughts are a welcome asset to this site in my opinion. Solely because his humor is light hearted and harbors no need to call people names.

Ah, yes the thread. It seems that in the process of being so cuddly and adorable I've tarnished your farce example of a directional thread with a little trollish spit-up. Do forgive me. I wouldn't want to become the thing that I attest. Thanks for keeping me in line. *A little club soda should take care of that.

Extremely vulgar of you Skittles. What ever did I do to you to deserve such the antagonistic remark? Now I'm not so sure I want to taste the rainbow. You give a sweet candy a rotten name.

Yes. Highly disappointing behaviour from both parties.

Perhaps Frop himself could comment on his contribution to this site? I think we'd all benefit from that.

I think it would be better for his public image if he were to pop by to give us a few brief words.

Some might interpret his modest silence as aloofness if he refuses to comment.

Good sarcasm. But I have never read anything by him that falls in the "nice" category (like "good job...", "I agree..." etc. etc.). Then again, I dont really trot these forums much. But has anyone?

Not that I am complaining.
