Dave, I disagree with your perspective but I'm not going to go down the insulting road. The truth of the matter is that I love CC and want to see it succeed. There has been a great deal of conversation about the removal of the maps without any word from Admin other than to say "here go look at this thread where everyone is talking about it." I'm also concerned that the forums have disappeared and there is no word on anything concerning them since Lack's comment last Saturday "I'll look at it when I get home on Tuesday".

It seems to me that it is reasonable for a business which makes such a drastic change to its core business (which the classic map clearly has been) should, as a matter of course, inform its customer base what is going on. Many of the players on this site who have commented over the past week would be satisfied with some comments and because they want the site to succeed would get behind and do what they can to help. The lack of information is what is causing the PR nightmare that currently exists IMO. I'm hoping that Lack, Twill and/or Andy will realize this and make a statement.

Hopefully its possible to have this conversation in a respectful manner. Not everyone can of course but I'm an optimist at heart.

I have to say, that without the G1 forum my enjoyment of this site has diminished very, very much so. Almost to the point of not wanting to take my turns. The games are fun and all, but the community is supposed to keep people (as it is with every site I've ever played games on).

I will say that I have played a couple of other maps that I like as much, that I would not likely have ever discovered had not the classic map been taken away. Incidentally, i think that they should change the title of the monstrosity that has become the classic map as it is not classic at all. it seems to be rather like the meat by-product that one might find as filler in a cheap hot dog.

so, I know that I complained about this, but understood that I am a freemium and really can't complain. but my point was really that this is sub premium service for those that are actually pay for site access. it is why i won't pay for an account, because as I see it, the site owners don't think its important to render service that is considered industry standard.

The points made are valid but very mediocre at that. It's been around a week - they told you the situation is temporary, I'm not sure what the f*ck else you all expect however. To expect a solution within such time is stupid. To assume they are going to explain the legal implications they have with hasbro is also stupid. What else are we waiting for again? A specific timeline when it will be fixed? Is that what all this bullshit is about? Of course they don't have one, it's been a friggin' week.

Premier customer service isn't provided to fuckers that pay $25 a year. You all highly overestimate what paying such a small amount typically yields in that department. That's less than paying for a single video game, etc. Have you seen the abysmal customer service giants like Electronic Arts provides on their games in terms of support/patching/updating the games as well as information? You'll be lucky if they even come through with their word, often they promise 6 patches within a single year and you get 2-3.

Don't expect so much for $25 a year, this customer service bullshit that keeps getting brought up isn't seen at such minimal purchases, typically. Sure - it exists, but I've also seen some customer service, at least what I expect out of the $25. And classic map is the main map I play.

We are currently settling for an emergency off-site forum, but it still isn't the same. We had a clan challenge almost ready to go, we have many threads focusing on each member of our clan where we learn about each other, we had callouts, in clan tournaments going on, we had some important discussions regarding potential new members happening, the list goes on and on.

It's just silly that we don't have them back yet.

FabledIntegrity, as with an earlier poster, I think you miss the point. Clearly there is an issue here that needs to be addressed by the Admin of the site. 80 pages of thread within less than 24 hours can attest that this is something that this business needs to at least acknowledge. It may be that you don't care if people leave CC and never come back but as someone who wants to see the site thrive I do and this is something that should have been addressed without anyone having to point it out. Its a basic common sense for any business owner. I'm sorry if you feel that a view that expects more than what is being done is moronic but the idea that someone could want to help the site, even in a way that you may disagree with, is hardly moronic.
