Anyone who can play and win:

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=2317830

deserves to be conqueror and the fact that he is farming does not detract from his being one of the best players on this site. He is currently farming just to beat scotts high score, and I think it is more honorable to farm the way sjnap is, than to gain 3700 points by someones throwing game.

lol, i was watching that game back then, warsteiner kept me updated.
the only reason sjnap won was because SkyT came out short on eliminating likemee. i remember warsteiner writing to me multiple times about how sjnaps time was slowly running out, and that if sj missed, it would be his game.

I remember him almost missing a few times as well, but I dont see how that correlates to him being a poor player. You are given 24 hours to play and he clearly knew how to utilize his time so that he didnt miss. The fact that sjnap won, no matter how it was that he won, is amazing, and it was that game which gave him the conqueror position.

because it isnt worth it to play regular players. If I lose to a general I will still lose about 30 points. It isnt worth the risk

Freestyle is awesome. When you have terrible dice, the control which a person gains by playing freestyle is the difference between winning and losing the game.

I put the "" in there for a reason...lol...even still, you did farm 3 times :?

tbh though, only playing people at your own rank doesnt necessarily imply that you are the most deserving of your rank either; a lot of times a player is too afraid to lose points to lower ranks that they only join games with the same people whose strategy they know and understand. Since you havent played lower ranks, we cant see how you handle a noob with seemingly no strategy attacking at random. It is a completely different style of playing and I dont think that those games should be discounted either.

I used to play it, but I had too many games of "you blink first" and just don't want to spend an hour staring and waiting for someone to play. Also, I simply don't have the time usually.

I like ot take a turn, peruse the forums and leave, then come back in a bit. But, to each his own!

To the OP and other like-minded posters,

Honestly if you're having problems getting beyond the rank of captain that means you are either a relatively new player, you make fundamental mistakes with your moves, or you have an addiction to doodle assassins and/or other silly game types. Heck, most good players can hold a decent rank even while playing these silly settings.

What I am saying is that you shouldn't worry about the top ranked players and instead focus on improving your own game by watching them.

Its on my profile....I dont attach it to my messages

Additionally, I find it amusing that despite having a grossly inflated score as a result of my farming, no one else who has attempted to farm using the same method as me has come within a couple hundred points of my high score. However, anyone who thinks that they can, please be my guest and give it a try...the FARMERS guild is always for new members

i've never looked at your profile.
anyway, do what you like for points! it is none of my business and i genuinely pay you and your methods no heed.
But you delude yourself if you consider almost exclusively playing deadbeat question marks, in 1v1 freestyle to make you anything more than, at best, a mediocre player with a false score, scamming the system.

And your decision NOT to play low ranks leads me to assume that you are too intimidated by the fear of losing to play people who may very well be better than you.

I honestly dont care about how people make their points and I dont think it is anyones business, but I do take objection when someone is trying to exert a sense of superiority over another because of the games they play when they refuse to give the other style of games a chance for the fear that they may lose.

as i have said on countless occasions, do what you like to get your points. the Palmers Guild however, seeks to fly in the face of good sense and logic by raising the perception of its methods, to garner kudos. This is silly.

We can not hope to compare a player whose opponents generally don't even roll a dice (that would be you) with a player who more actively strategizes against an active counterpart.

It is a silly position to take on your part and perhaps goes further to illustrate that you are not used to facing real opposition as your preferred field of contest.

I have no problems with admitting that the games I play are generally against deadbeats and I take pride in my ability to find those game. However, your ability to strategize in the games you play clearly isnt effective enough or you would have passed me on the scoreboard. I created my own strategy for finding games with deadbeat as and as a result I had a 150 game winning streak. The point system is setup to counter the efforts of farmers like me to raise their score through playing noobs, since I win 4 points a game when I win, and lose 95 every time I lose, while one win for you earns you over 100 points. I seriously doubt that you would be a successful farmer and I would be interested to see how many points you would win after joining 50 noob games.

While you may consider the games you play to be elitist and therefore justify your score, why dont you prove me wrong and win when you are actually risking your points playing playing public games where you lose 50 points a lose and only win 60 for a win. Dont bother making an excuse for why you wont because I dont care and the games you chose to play are none of my business as I stated before. However, by only playing people of your rank you are virtually farming; you found a niche which you are good at and instead of challenging yourself, you are taking advantage of your area of expertise and harvesting points.

The only difference is that I am a member of The Farmers Guild because I admit that I am a farmer.

Your position revolves around challenging me to prove that i can best a player who does not turn up to play?
Yours is a very silly 'argument' and i use the term very loosely.

Kudos and well done for some whopping points.

Seems to be the nature of many of the "elite" players. They look for newbs starting team games, wait for the third or fourth to join and then pile in. Maybe they should start an elite farming clan. Wait.... that would make folks mad and think of the public outcry.

Since you seem to think that players like this are not very good and can only beat on noobs try playing any of these players in a game. Me loes and PriestVallon set up a good # of triples feel free to join and get so called "easy points" since loes is a "farmer" and doesn't know how to play. JustB is also a great team player and Karel gave me a whooping the other day in a 6 man standard game. And Sj well just try playing him and prepare to be schooled

I agree with you; it would be hypocritical to complain about it if one has ever done something similar themselves.

not many can resist joining a 1 vs 1 against a noob

i myself join every noob 1 vs 1 i see (and i think most people would) but i dont go looking for them which is the difference between farmers and non-farmers

I just love this. You can either join games with low ranks and be accused of farming, or you can join highranks and be accused of being a pussy.
