Think I'll the more advanced logic discussion as it's late and I would need a few dictionaries to do it properly in english.
However you missed a point (or maybe I didn't make it as clear as I meant to?). My statement doesn't lead to your statement as there really wasn't any other factors that made it a full time moderating job regarding feedback but there clearly are when regarding the forum. Different relationships makes for different endings.

Maybe the issue is the translation to English, then. The wording you chose implied that A led to B, and that B could only be true if A, creating a mutually inclusive statement.

Players giving bad ratings for attendance because you dont play real time.

I just got the first one. A new recruit joins the site and doesnt understand the rules. He sets up a game with options of making a move once every 24 hours and than leaves a false rating because he wanted to play real time. How can we avoid this ?

There isn't really a way to avoid this. There are always going to be people who will misunderstand, or misuse the ratings. I would recommend playing more games. You'll receive more ratings, and over time, they'll average out. Also, new recruits tend to be more likely to not understand the rules & guidelines than the more experienced players. So, I would suggest just getting out there and playing more games, while avoiding joining games with new recruits (if you're worried about people not fully understanding the way this wonderful site works).

Long story short....Once you've played a bunch of games, I think you'll realize that the fun to be had here at CC far outweighs any of the drawbacks.

Good luck, and have fun.

why would anyone significant really care what a low ranker thinks? If someone looks they can see who left the rating. A rating left by a highly ranked player will surely be more relevant than one left by a cook. But even then what does a rating say about skill that can't already be gleaned from a player's rank? As far as I can tell the ratings system is little more than an elaborate scheme to cover CC's withdrawal from having to moderate unpleasant feedback, bitchiness, and whinging. Something I understand that consumed a huge amount of time and energy and was never ending.

haha, except for the 'mildly' elitist beginning sentence, i agree.

But the old comment based feedback gave personality to the system!
I like that!

For the non-forum visitors (the majority of CC users) it was the only point of human interaction with the broader community, outside of the game.

now we have a faceless but convenient alternative..... which i think can be improved upon slightly ;)

This petition is for all those who are not currently satisfied with the new rating system and wish for either of two things.

1. Scrap ratings and use the old Feedback system we all loved!

2. Create a hybrid where you can rate stars AND leave feedback!

Sign up stating: 1. Your in game name and 2. Your preferred option.

No spamming or unneccessary posts please!

I go with the Hybrid.

The current system will bed-in just fine but it needs some additional facility to comment on other factors.

JoshyBoy, I think you need to play a few more games to come to an informed decision, jiminski on the other hand has the experience to make an in formed decision and be taken seriously. I, as a player was happy with the feedback system and am happy with this system. I am easily satisfied.

wacicha, I was playing this game under an old account for about a year a year ago then i left and I have come back and am playing with a new account so please dont lecture me. I have seen A LOT, in fact an absolute TON of players who dont like it and I saw that no-one had started a petition about it yet and I thought "why not". Anyway, am i not entitled to an opinion? :?: ;)

Of course you are mate ... (heheh be careful of the multi-account implication there mate. ;) )

I think Wac is battle-weary at all the moaning which goes on and the never-ending duplicate threads popping up. .. blimey i've been at it for days!

Don't be side-tracked, enter the constructive conversation about making a viable addition to the feedback, which we and the site can make work?

i dont think he was lecturing you, but advising you. please click on jiminski's sig and see how we can actually incoroporate his idea into the feedback system without CC mods having to moderate it..........

I think non-premium member should not be allowed to give rating... as they do nopt have the same vision of 24h turns than Premium members.

Last week, I had 60 games (24h setup) running in parallel.
I cannot play the turn really fast as I am not allowed to connect to CC during the day while I am at work.

As long as you don't miss any turns, you should get 5's for attendees!!!

But, I would a one two three star with explanation and a thumbs down option or no star option cause they are bad bad bad at that area. And if you thumbs down there could be a 10 word explanation. Like thumbs down, deadbeat, Foul mouth, whatever
I liked being able to see the neg.s more that the pos.
