Is there any way to find a group of players that actually play the game at a normal speed, and not have to wait 5-10 minutes between players turns. I'm at the beginning of my first game, and this is crazy!

5 to 10 minutes is a dream! Sometimes you have to wait for days.

Is there anyway to find players who want to play in real time without taking such long breaks?

Look in the Callouts section. Every now and again there are players looking to play a real time game.

i wouldnt mind when i am actually home, but what i saw in the discription of the game is that i can play it between classes, put a move there and here and such... but still i have 40 min of class that i have free so i sit here bored out of my mind waiting for something lol... o well its still all fun for me because ive never played ^.^

wouldn't it be nice if there were some sort of host system for real time games? Say if you start a game, you're the host of it, so you can set time limit options and name the game as real time so others know what to expect.

Sort of like how you can set different paramters for yahoo games. You can start it with options like escalating and unlimited, but then also set a 1 hour limit for rounds, then name the game "Real time Classic."

As the host, you could then also kick out players who are deadbeats?

That would be awesome, then i don't have to wait forever. I have deadbeats in 2 or 3 of my games right now.

I think it would be cool if you see the average time a player takes to make a move. Perhaps even add a set of symbols to show have fast each player plays.
