Possiblity of getting extra bonus cards

I have been playing game 430125 for quite awhile. But I wonder how tr8tr ended up with 6 cards to turn in in one turn. I could only count 4 that they earned. Is there something new or do we have a bug? Any help would be appreciated.

red.dragon was kicked out for missing 3 consecutive turns, so all his territories AND cards went to tr8tr.

Because it's a team game.

You get cards too? Is that new? Or has that just slipped past me this whole time?! I must not play enough triples/doubles with deadbeat partners...
