I came in here aboout three weeks ago and the join game list was about two pages long. Now theres seven pages of doubles and triples with one team set up and it seems everyone else is too scared to join. Do you think its getting out of hand?

No. More players more games....growth....diversity... competition....fun
There are some bad sites you can go to with very few players, and far less games....
seems kind of silly though, when you can play here on the best one....

Interesting avatar...
No, never enough... why don't you start some standards? You can also go to "Game Finder", select "Standard" and click "Search".. that way you don't need to see the team games...

i think its because doubles and triples games get one team full and then can take 5 or 6 days to fill the other team, whereas if u make a 6 player escalating standard I can garuntee itll be full within a few hours........

Every week or two i start 30 or so standard games.
Those fill up extremely quickly.
Keep an eye out....although i might not start some for a while..
Stupid Traveling, why do you get in the way of my CC time?

Yes. An interesting observation.
I think a reason for all these team games being empty is due to the new 1 v. 1 setting. A lot of people are playing those. It's something new, which always gets a crowd. And they are fast, people like to have a few fast games now and then. But give it a few weeks and then we'll see if a balance is struck on what kind of games people are setting up.

I'm not sure I understand.... if there are people who wish to play standard games (enough to post and comment on the issue) then why wont these players go start 50 games right now?!?! please advise!

People please START YOUR OWN GAMES! Start anykind you want... you dont even have to look at any kind of game that you dont like. That is what is wonderful about the search options. Start your own games and quit complaining about other people's prefrances?

Well, don't click on the "Join A Game" button! Click on either the "Start A Game" button or "Game Finder" button. May I recommend, the latter option which is my preferred choice.

I also just use the Game Finder and only pick the singles option... I do Agree tho there Are WAY too many doubles and singles going, maybe you could get the option to choose between the singles or doubles/triples at the "My Games" button in the future... That would be nice.

Meh, if people are complaining about the lack of standard games they should go to callouts... I started about 40 yesterday (private but no restriction) and only 2 people joined
I understand that non-premies wouldn't want to start their games as it involves more waiting tho... But using game finder and this
script helps a lot!

uhh Bob Go to game finder and select any game option you want, any number of players, map, type of cards, type of forting and it will show only that ? How much better could it be? You never have to see a team game or singles game the rest of your life.
Do that and there will not be any un-wanted games under "my games"

as said above: The game finder solves all these issues.
Use it.
Why get all agitated over the power teams? Either join them or stay away from them. It's a simple decision.

Then explain it to me, if it does favor doubles and triples then it favors the lower ranked players. How many times have you lost over 300 points in 6 games? That is what i will lose in the next couple of days. And that favors team games? Triples you have a 50/50 chance of winning, same odds for 1 vs 1? 6 player doubles you have a 33 % chance of winning, but you gain more points for winning and less for lossing, evens out? standard 6 player games you stand to win a lot more points and lose a lot less, a 16.6 % chance of winning. Extra points vs decreased odds seem to equal out. There are people it the top 10 that play almost all single games and ones that play almost all team games so the system is pretty even?
Am i missing something?

I'd rather see the scoring system split in 3. So you could see the best single player, best doubles player and best triples player.
And if you don't believe me that the scoring system is bias, look at at the top 20 players and look how they got there... by mainly playing doubles and triples games
