What do you want us to say? It's stupid, it's rediculous, you're right...
No need to make a thread, just give them negative feedbacks, put them on your ignore, and move on.

I'm assuming the question is meant to be sarcastic?
This would be one of the reasons yes ... the other is the current point system ... but lets not get into a discussion about there (there are plenty of those already ...)

Yeah they are afraid for their petty point totals and being moved on their little lists they make that only their fellow 'pros' look at.
Generally it's best to just not join games unless you're a higher rank them someone else already there. Or to play tournaments.

Well you are a little point obsessed. I'd say the second part includes you for sure.

I am not point crazed people. But neither do I like to be ganged on for no apparent reason, abused verbally, and then given negative feedback for saying as much. You can also look at the games I host and join, I dont usually descriminate the new guys and let them in my games. I'm just trying to make a point however, that behaviour the likes of which was displayed in that game is a reason the more experianced players dont like playing recruits.

As a a newbie here and someone with a low score at the moment, it makes complete sense to me that the people I play against are in and around my own rank. I have observed games involving the more highly ranked players. Some of the highest ranked people here join games against everyone JR is a good example of this. If you create a 1 v 1 game no matter what your rank, it is very likely JR might join in from what I have observed. Other more senior ranked players play almost entirely in team games. If you wait till the last to join a public game that is one sure fire way to play against those of a higher rank.

Its actually difficult to maintain a high points total so whatever your thoughts on the matter petty doesnt come into it. Its interesting that those who ' play for fun ', presumably because they want to, feel free to abuse those who get their fun from winning and gaining high rank.
Either we are criticised for only playing noobs or for only playing other high ranks, it doesnt add up im afraid.
As for posting lists of game records or achievements, surely that is more approriate on a gaming site then the endless threads on religion, war, masturbation or acne that litter the forum. Its a sad reflection on some peoples priorities when they choose to have a go at the better players on this site yet laud those whose only claim to fame is 5000+ posts most of which probably involve swearing at somebody else.

What Coleman said is right. Some pros are too chicken to play with cooks, cadets and other low rank players.

Is it a matter of pro vs. rookies - or manners versus complete morons? Playing computer games is no cure for personallity disorders. You can play 100, 200, or 1000 games, and still be a jerk -

Excellent point my friend. But it wasent just manners i was refering to. It's also just pure tatics. The players in this game were making a lot of dumb moves a large portion of which were targeted on me. More experianced players or "pros" as u will win games on strategy, not blundering around making bad moves and getting lucky.

This point has been made a thousand times by a thousand other morons and is garbage . Give me one good reason why a decent player should be coerced into playing against a poor player who is likely to screw up the game or be abusive in chat.

Not all poor players are abusive in chat and screws up the game. Dancing Mustard and 0ojakeo0 are two examples. They are sometimes abusive in the forums, but they're fine in game chat.

Fame on an online risk site? Get real. clapper011 has a lower rank but I dare say is far better known (and liked) than the (mostly) incessantly triples playing high rankers.
As for 5K post most of which are swearing at people... I would challenge you to prove that. It can't be that hard, there's only nine of them, but none of them are restricted to flame wars.

But a lot of other low ranks are rude and do screw up games so I repeat why should any player be coerced into playing anybody he doesnt want to? Does anybody tell you who to play, and if they did would you not resent the suggestion ?

As somebody new to this site it is the scores of those at the top of page 1 that interest me. I'm currently mid page 66 and I have something very clear to aim for. I can do this while still having the craic !!
I post on other forums on the net and being the leading poster on forums where "

" can count as one post means nothing. With forum posting its quality not quantity that counts. In general I find the forums on here informative but there is a lot of rubbish posted as well. I have no problem with the rubbish and I will probably post some of it myself from time to time, but at the end of the day this website is about online gaming not forum posting.
