No surprise a rich white neoconservative would suggest this.

I was actually toying with the idea of a cross-site tournament. Due to US gambling regulations though, I would have to put up the prize money myself. No problem, but this would be like a 6-12 month tourney across multiple sites.

Still in the thinking stages, but if anyone plays at the following sites, or is willing to create an account and get used to them before I even think about setting up the tourney, feel free to email me (email is in my profile):

Conquer Club
World at War
Global Combat
LandGrab
*possibly* Grand Strategy (although this site seems very slow and to me)
Other sites if submitted and approved.

Yeah, it would be a good idea, as long as there was someway to regulate or monitor cheating

No betting for "money." Tournament hosts can put up Premium Membership for prize, that is it.

It's against the rules to play for money, which I think is a bit of a lost opportunity. But I'll respect it.

Lack should loan the CC software to a company that does allow playing for money, though.

People complain about the Lottery too... doesn't mean the Gov't or State Lottery Agency is going to award them winnings. ;)

It's so funny... whenever the big lottery here in Mass. is really high, like over $50mil, I'll get some "Quick Picks".

... for non-lottery players, a "Quick Pick" is when you let the Lottery computer use some random number generator to randomly pic your numbers for you.

I will usually spend $5 and get 5 Quick Picks.

The ticket agent usually asks "Is one ticket ok... or do you want 5 seperate tickets". I am cool with getting all five bets on one ticket... no worries.

I guess there are really people out there that will have the ticket agent run five seperate tickets. They somehow must think that five seperate 'random' bets are "more random" or somehow "better" than five 'random' bets on one ticket.

LOL

i have a few what ifs.

1. Could you just play the games here, but all the money would be handled/discussed on a different chat forum, i.e. Hecter's new one. I don't know much about how the law would effect it. You would also need a trustworthy treasurer.
2. What if it is a tournament where the winner HAD to donate to the charity of his choice. Hopefully legitimate ones where people/pets/wildlife really do need something.

I think it is a great idea. If you ever get it going, and I could spare the extra cash, I would do this - the charity option preferably.

Tournament involving money on Conquer Club are a no-no, and if they are discovered they will be shut down.
