Um... Hello. I'm new-ish, and I've just started looking at the Forum.

I'm sorta wondering what all this "Pikachu Clan" and "XIGAMES" and other names I've seen in sigs, that I believe r some sort of groups.

I'm just wondering... what r these?

And if somebody else has asked this before and this is a redundant thread, then sorry... but somebody should make a thread about it and sticky it somewhere prominent to explain this stuff to new people like me.

There are several usergroups on CC. You can find these by clicking on usergroups above ^^^^^^^^ on CC these are known as clans. there have been some new ones created that are not listed above these will be added when the next forum update is done. clans chalenge other clans, they have internal tournaments they have their own forums and games and some provide training for new members.

Clans are, well, clans, groups made up of players here on CC, that differ with their various restrictions on entry/challenge, or lack thereof.

Most new ones these days (e.g. clan pikachu) aren't officially site supported, while the older other ones such as xigames are, due to the site waiting on some update to do with phpbb rivals (any Christmas now ) and you can find a list of the clans with an actual CC userspace here.

ok... how do i find out more information about them? do these people tend to have threads somewhere in this forum from when they organized themselves that I could find if i looked hard enough? Or to join these things and/or get more information should I contact the Group Moderators?

some clans have threads in callouts or the clubhouse. you can go there and ask to join. other clans aren't visible and usually work by invitation only. you don't cal them they call you.

Like I said earlier, though, Somebody mod should make a thread explaining this and listing clans and stuff and sticky it somewhere...

basically, just a lot of active forum users who like to play cc too. we attempt to challenge the horsemen, although they are too scared to play us. Activities include clan challenges, inter-clan games, mafia games, our own forums, and lots of other stuff. We have about 30 members. No requirements really, but me, fircoal, MTG, and kwanton have to agree to let you in.

mafia game = game involving mafia...?

I'm not understanding here. I know what the Mafia is in rl. how does this connect with CC games?

ok... so it's some kind of forum game involving multiple rounds where people join in, and then somehow get "dead" over time until a winner emerges...

anybody want to explain the rules?

Ignore MisterMan he's just trying to rob you of your credibility, Pikachu has only existed for about two weeks.

All the really cool cats hang with Spamalot, you should come check out our hometownin The Clubhouse and hang out with us, even if you decide that it's not for you then you're still likely to meet some cool people.

PS. Don't actually try to read all of Spamalot, just flick to the last page and introduce yourself...

Reading all of Spamalot would probably take a year!!

Anywho, avoid the Forum games (mafia) section until you've had enough experience on the site. Especially since you don't know what it is.
