freestyle games were designed to allow games to move quicker.

All these tricks about waiting for the last 5 minutes to play and 3 people playing triples simultaneously is a side effect and not done by design and it creates huge advantages to the detriment of players that just want a quicker game.

I would love to be able to play my turn at my convenience and still have a turn every day. Yes you can do that in freestyle but if you get these predators in the game then you can't win unless you play the same way.

As speed games have sped the game up a bit one of the reasons for freestyle is negated. Keep freestyle but take away sim turns, then you have a game that many can enjoy.

Perhaps. But that doesn't make it freestyle, it makes it a hybrid between seq. and freestyle.

A lot of people enjoy freestyle due to the fact that it allows sim turns, and the suggestion to get rid of sim turns was a pretty bad one. The unlocking feature is a different matter though. Problem with that is that it makes it more difficult to form teams with people in different time zones. I've said it before, and I say it again: The unblocking feature is perhaps cool, but bring back the old "double turns allowed" setting.

You won't get rid of Freestyle...Sim turns are just a part of freestyle play. I for one, hardly ever play freestyle, but if I did, I would see if I could sim turn with my partner (s)...sim turning can actually be fun! And that is what CC is all about...having fun. If you don't like Freestyle, don't play it. Or perhaps there is a suggestion for a new type of freestyle? But don't get rid of Freestyle because of sim turns.

Some of the best most exciting games i ever played in were Freestyle and with you DaG!

but The reason i don't play them any more was a game in which defeat was turned into a potential victory which was stolen by the use of a 'loophole' cheating, stinking little weasels. The opponent ran the clock down before taking his turn, leaving me around 3 minutes to play. i missed a go (giving him the next turn). To compound my ire; not being familiar with the tactic, i had cashed cards with not enough time to deploy .. to be honest i thought the clock would give me an extension or something! I was new, I was incensed!
the opponent had broken both my North and South American bonus'... i won't mention the clever tacticians names STOOOKER and TOOMA.
this resulted in loss and my subsequent uncharacteristic fury!

Sadly if this loophole stays i will never play Freestyle again... i can live with that.

i have to agree with some of the other comments. I for 1 don't really care for freestyle games, esp. in rt. However many players enjoy them. And for that reason they should stay. I play one once in a long while and may play more frequently if and when I learn the stratagy a little better. If you don't like them at all, stay away. But for those of you who do like them, party on party people!!!!!

Losing turns in freestyle

I totally agree with your comments. I will not play freestyle again until these predators that manipulate the clock giving them an extra card and the next attack stop playing this way. It is a form of cheating and unless this can be fixed I refuse to play any more freestyle games again.
