Let us now Write these transgressions in A proper format that is Simple to read and understand. Let us concentrate on 4 - 6 player games. give both why it is a problem and what to do to correct it.

This is being done for a pet project I am working on. You all have played the occasional new players. I am making a list of the common mistakes that are made by new players that will be a helpful guide to them so they can enjoy this freakish game of CC risk without doing these 5 or so most common mistakes. The list of course must be able to cover multiple maps or types of games. PLEASE, ONLY CONSTRUCTIVE INFO. this is not to flame them but to help them.

i think he means like if there were 10 armies in indonesia, someone would try to kill them to gain australia.

it looks like he's talking about an actual bonus Wac. For instance you can have 15 in Venez to defend against a bonus continent. Guy cashes and takes the 12 for a 2 bonus. Hanging a player and no realistic chance of recouping the armies. Taking him 8 rounds to get it back. Let's not be too hasty and say that it is a bad play. Depending on the size of the map.......... it could be a good strategy.

get bottled up in one area in an escalating game, not staying spread out enough.

Go for a kill, when they have no chance of gaining a mid turn cash

Listen to threatening propaganda

miss deploy when mid turn cashing

attacking a large army just because it is beside them

taking and retaking the same country, meanwhile everyone else is building

attacking the same player over and over again

attacking the weakest player in a game , making them an easy target

killing off a guy behind your lines b4 you can gauruntee his elimination..

attacking anything above a 5 , while in build up stage

There are many more common mistakes, but these are the ones that pop to the top of my head right now..
Hope it helps

When a player dominates early dont attack other weaker players like rats in a trap

Doing massive breakouts too soon. One or two players are out, everyone left has a continent or two, and all of a sudden the new guy cashes his cards, drops everything on one of his border territories, and proceeds to rampage halfway across the map, cripple other players, and come very close to owning three or four continents... and then wonders why everyone drops whatever they're doing and gangs up on him.

God knows I do it way too often, and every time I'd have been better off just sitting back, building up my numbers, and waiting for someone else to disrupt the game's balance first.

make a truce with the most powerful player, there by giving them the game.

Yes Ive been guilty of all of the above and more. But I've survived, impatience is the biggest sin.
