Average Lifespan of a CC Player

I know a lot of people would probably complain first about the dice and mostly about rank. Dice being sticky (yes they still are) and the rank system sucking ass (you know it does lack p.s. get your shit together :P ).

Complaints with what gets update and what doesn't like when an online store takes priority over any actual game play changes.

Map makers getting frustrated with mods and giving up on their maps and the site

Mod decisions on bans/warning/point resets especially with extremely different punishments for extremely similar cases

Secret societies like the super elite emerging and isolating themselves from the general public and ignoring the warm welcomes they might have received.

Deadbeats/cheaters and if it has even been fixed after the 10th or so try

I know the list goes on and on with things that could ruin somebodies game experience, but what I was wondering is how much does the average player stick around CC for and deal with the down side of things.

I'm sure most of us that have been here for over 6 months have noticed a good friend or just even somebody they really enjoyed playing with has vanished.

It seems to me that the longevity of the website is compromised due to the way high priority/profile situations are addressed and handled.

From your personal experience how long does it look like the average CC player sticks around CC?

After reading this over it seems to look like a rant, but that's not my intention at all. I have noticed that the people who I once played with most often have all got up and left the site.

Where's the "for ever and ever"-option?

Well, I began playing last February, but when summer came I found that I couldn't keep my commitments to the games, so I didn't return until just this week, and only because I never moved the bookmark on my toolbar, and I couldn't think of anything better to do. I'm still playing my first game since I came back.

I think that since I never upgraded to premium, I have no stake in getting all I can out of CC, so I am more likely to get bored with it and quit. My computer tendencies lean more toward rt games, over within a few hours, and not week or longer games. If I remember correctly, I got bored when I used up my four game spots with dangling rt games, and I didn't get any enjoyment out of waiting all day just to play in one of the four. Plus, since my rough estimate of the demographic here is young, high school to college age males, that is a group highly likely to forget about such a great site.

If you're talking about average life of any player, its much shorter than any options you listed. The majority of people still sign up and never return. Of course you might not consider them to be actual players though

As for players who get past the first 4 games, I think the average might be about a year. Its really tough to say, since the people who post on the forums are the ones you notice and they stick around longer on average. The people that play and never post are hard to guess at.

How do you feel that high profile cases should be handled and what is wrong with them now?

I just don't see the point in complaining about something if you don't state whats wrong with it or offer suggestions to improve. That's just a waste of everyones time.

actually, sully I think it's less then a year average for non- stay at ? people. A lot of the people I know on the forum are new and old. Barely any of them have hit one year yet, and many aren't even close. I notice them leave usually before 6 months, so I think it's a bit different. I don't know about non-forum posters though.

I've only been here for 5 months. I have no complaints about anything. (Not counting other players terrible strategies.)

I am also a female over the age of 25. The only thing that would stop me from playing are real life issues. Those things could keep me away for a while. I'm already married. I already have children. So work or family responsibility that takes me away from the computer, those would affect me.

same here, there are barely anything that could get me to leave, and that is:

users being mean to me.

spam being restricted heavily.

Lets see....I've been here 2 years almost....

And Sully is right, I'd be VERY interested to hear what you guys have to say about the mod team, how we handle things, examples of where we dished out punishment unequally etc.

lets not do it here though because we don't want to get off topic. PM me any time and I'd be happy to chat about it. We run this site for you guys after all, if our team is screwing that up for ya, or if I havn't trained the team right, let me know cause I really do care.

I meant the players who actually play more than a dozen games. The people who just sign up usually don't spend enough time here to make friends or become familiar with others.

refer to twills quote.

This post wasn't about complaining. I have been a bit inactive in the forums and just noticed all the people I play with most are gone.

I wouldn't expect anything less from you. :P

I meant active member not somebody who comes around once in a while. Maybe I am wrong, but I haven't seen much of you until recently. I might just take you up on that PM offer.

We had a good run together. You're the first person I remember teaming up with and kicking ass.

Well, I'm a brand new player. My Bro-in-law introduced me to the site knowing that we two are the ones who always sit down to the board game first. See how long we last. I don't remember his screen name something with Tuft in it. I am also a fulltime student, work fulltime, and fulltime dad...yet i don't feel like once a day for a couple minutes really takes away from any of those commitments. Great site BTW
