Posted: Mon Dec 10, 2007 9:08 pmTo all the clans and players on CC, new and old. The members of THOTA joined to raise the competition level of clans on CC. We as a group wanted to raise the bar. Competition creates stakes, which increases the meaning of winning and losing. We are all just competitive warriors, and most of us get along with everyone else in CC.
We have been challenged many times by official clans, ad hoc clans, and individuals. Often, the challenges have been adversarial, and at times, we have over-reacted to those challenges. Most of us are defending the other members in the clan as we have done this not for ourselves, since individually, we can all take the heat. Unfortunately, it has occasionally become personal, and sometimes we have gone too far. We've made a conscious effort to respond more conservatively in the future, and all of us respect the other players on CC. Most know us individually, and know this to be true.
We are aware that certain people in the CC community have been offended and/or feel that we have crossed the line. Some of these claims are legitimate, some less so. But the fact remains all of us want to play on conquer club for the same reason, and that is for the fun of the challenge. when that fun is compromised as a result of perceived actions of a person or group of persons, we are not too stupid to realize that that is an unacceptable situation. So, for those of you who have been offended by a remark in a post or a PM, who feel like we have crossed the line in a challenge or a game, consider this our apology. Please remember, we are not here to compromise your fun. We are here to compromise your ranking.
