I think this is the sort of thing you'll have to mostly learn on your own. You can look through this forum for old threads, and might learn something, but the classic map is the basic, you'd be asking for basic CC strategy. Some people might give you some basic tips, but you're probably about to get more insults than help. Just play a while; you'll learn things.

go for the easiest country you can get, stick with it and once you have secured yourself move onto another continent or eliminate someone. Never go for asia, for me, if i can get South america it is the best because it easily leads onto North America and Africa. Oceania only links to asia which you will never be able to hold and europe and africa have too many borders. order of preference for me: south america, north america, oceania, africa, europe, i won't even count asia.

this is just my strategy, don't flame me or anything.

different Strategies for Different options(settings)

Try going to the Mentor thread and picking someone to help you learn.

The Socity of the Cooks is another good learning ground. We teach Classical Terminator Escalating Sequential there.
